Decided to go here as its restaurant week and planned on eating in the East Village. The restaurant was not at all full but I reserved thinking it could be since it is restaurant week. After sitting down, we decided to order a bottle of red wine instead of starting with cocktails. The first bottle we chose, a Carmenere from... More

YB is home away from home. Angel, Gio, and Igor are the best. The drinks are amazing and the food is scrumptious. Try a fish Taco with a pico picante.

Great location. Friendly, attentive staff, good variety in the brunch menu. And you get an hour to try all of the brunch cocktails which are delicious!

I've eaten at a lot of places in the lower east side, but I can say none have customer service like this and an amazing authentic menu. We arrived to celebrate my upcoming baby shower and the next generation of our family. I dined with my sister, mother, mother in law and two sisters in law. Being from NYC, there... More

This is my 5th or 6th visit to this restaurant. It is consistent in many ways, which makes it a continued sure bet. As others have noted, the cocktails are the true reason to visit - they have a great variety and a bartender who is willing to offer suggestions, and make things that are off-menu as well. The service... More

Good modern Spanish food with international touches, especially the lobster ceviche and the black miso code, both of which were excellent.

Stopped here after a show at the Mercury Lounge which is nearby. Had the fish tacos and empanadas. Both were very good. The service was excellent. I didn't get the name of our server but she was very personable and recommended a dessert to us after our apps. We had the chocolate cake with dulce de leche ice cream. A... More

The food is excellent and the service was very attentive. Our waiter recommended some delicious appetizers and guided us on the entrees. All of our meals were delicious. Very cute and intimate restaurant.

This is definitely the best Latin American food I have ever had. No matter what you order, it's a complete hit. Even the cocktails are out of this world (I had a spicy Jalapeno cocktail which was amazing. Sunk about 4 and had no hangover). The fish tacos are to die for, so are the short ribs and the black... Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
