We recently hosted a dinner party at YB to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We reserved the private room downstairs for a group of about 18 people, mostly young adults. We could not have been more pleased with the food, which was both flavorful and plentiful. And the service exceeded our high expectations. The waitress in charge of our group was... More

Definitely my fav place we visited while in NYC. Located in a great area we wish we would have found this the first day we were in NYC! Awesome food and people!! The nicest people I encounter while in NYC. I had the Cuban sandwich and my husband had the steak. They were both delicious. The mojitos were delicious as... More

We stopped in for some quick refreshment after a nice, long walk and wound up staying for hours grazing through the delicious menu. We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. Strategizing how to get another three hour block to hang here again soon!

Located in the East Side among great places to hang, from bars to restaurants the whole area is giving a taste of the real NY touch!! The restaurant includes a very nice and sophisticated latin food mix.. The Peruvian chef has done a great job in every plate!!

This restaurant is a superb choice if you enjoy Spanish food. There is a private room downstairs for groups. We were greeted by our waiter Juan who had no problem going through the various options on the food and drinks menus. The guacamole and empanadas were super starter options. There were also ceviches available. The main courses were also delicious... More

There are no words to describe how great this restaurant is! I just wish I could give it more than 5 stars :) From start to finish our experience was amazing. First of all the management are truly accommodating, they opened a private room for our group even though the restaurant was closed for an event. The service on the... More

This East Village Central American tiny restaurant has an incredible ribeye steak... Get it with fries or fried Brussels sprouts.... Steak is huge and with little fat.

I called the restaurant 4 weeks prior to reservation. They instructed me to email for large parties. I asked about unlimited brunch and the amount of time and was told we would have 2 hours unlimited brunch oppose 1 as we were a large party. Great because $15 for one hour brunch is not a good deal in NYC, most... More

Very impressed. Excellent food, very good drinks, great waiters. I recommend getting several appetizers to share and maybe a main course. We found the appetizers to be the Best part of the menu

I have been here so many times and never get tired. Food and service is always amazing and on-point. Igor (bartender) always goes above and beyond to make guests feel at home.

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
