We had a wonderful meal to celebrate our adult son’s birthday. It is restaurant week, so the price was quite reasonable for such a superb meal. I often find that one of the dishes at a restaurant isn’t up to par, but in this case all three courses (6 different dishes) were excellent. The sommelier helped select a wine we greatly enjoyed, I hope I can get it from a wine store at home!

At last summer’s Restaurant Week, Eden and I lunched grandly at Temple Court. We feasted on bowls of chicken liver pâté which we mopped up with grilled bread. We simply had to order this as we heard appreciative hums from diners with these bowls when we entered the restaurant. Eden then ate the fish course paired with a glass of white wine. I had the roasted chicken with fresh vegetables and finished with a sweet course. The Baked Alaska was dreamy and downright decadent! Temple Court is located at the Beekman Hotel in downtown Manhattan and considering this is a Tom Colicchio restaurant, one is definitely going to have a superb meal.

We have wanted to eat at the Temple Court and finally stopped by on a Wednesday evening. We got there at 5:30 and were seated in a nice cozy table for two in the bar area. We were able to order dinner from the main dining menu. There is a very nice wine selection. I had a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Dinner rolls were warm, crusty and delicious. I had the lobster thermadore and my husband had the grilled pork chop. Both meals were light and delicious. The atmosphere is rich yet cozy. Pricey but worth it for a nice meal that leaves you satisfied but not full. Highly recommend. Service is superb.

Where to start ? First the experience of getting to this restaurant was a terrifying maze of 2 different elevators through a hotel that resembled the shinning. The second elevator I will label the death trap. If you make it alive, once in the restaurant, the setting and atmosphere is quite beautiful. That will be the only good thing I have to say. Now on to the food, first of all it was a fixed menu that consisted of “foofy” dishes. The crab salad had maybe 2 bites of actual crab meat (less than half an ounce). The avocado “salad” was literally just an avocado sliced in half on a plate covered in some sort of leaves that were inedible and quite possible poisonous. The halibut was brought out cold not once but twice, I asked to reheat for me and they brought back the same fish cold again but in a hotter plate. The sauce was tasteless and the fish itself was covered in crunchy nuts. After 2 hours of waiting we never received our desserts and asked for the check because we needed to leave this god awful excuse for a dining establishment. The waiter was very accommodating and nice, but the food was a big thumbs down. I’m not a review person but felt it so necessary to warn others of this restaurant. I have dined at some of the best restaurants around the world and this is not one of them.

Recently dined here and had a good experience. From entering the place, I loved the vintage, dimly-lit vibe. Staff-wise, our server was amazing. She answered any questions we had, and even noticed our table was a little wobbly and corrected right away. The hostess staff could have been a bit friendlier, but that's fine. Dinner itself was fantastic. Everything was flavorful and cooked well. Highly recommend getting a cocktail here. Well-crafted and taste delicious.

At the Temple Court Bar, probably the best hanger steak prepared. Perfectly seared and the whole steak was rare throughout, not even a gradient of medium to rare, outside in, often seen prepared at inferior kitchens. A congratulatory bow to the chef who prepared my steak that night. The filet was a great portion for the price. I live in Brick NJ and would drive there, 1 1/2 hour, for dinner on a sat night if the dish was a staple. It’s that good. Duck confit salad was amazing. The wonder was the Panko crusted fried whole egg with still a runny yolk A feat that should be the gold standard for all Irish bars who serve the similar style scotch egg. Sadly you only get one. I would devour a whole plate. Only criticism is the average pumpkin panna cotta which was not as velvety as it should be. The decor and ambiance is perfect. A lounge style dining area where one can have drinks and converse to hang out or eat amazing food. Only regret was not trying the dinning area due to time restraints.

We stayed at the Beekman on two different occasions in the last few weeks. We frequented the temple court bar room several times. The food is great. The portions are amazing if not a little too big. :) We also tried a couple mocktails and cocktails- super good. My other half is picky about whisky sours and they easily met expectations. I would like to shout out to two people specifically. Michelle took care of us for breakfast. We had our direct flight home canceled and we were facing a long day of rerouting. Michelle’s attitude and efficiency left us with smiles and lifted spirits. She really made our day! Jason took care of us the night before. I enjoyed him also and he remembered my other half liked her whisky sour in a regular glass versus a special one. We would revisit this place without a doubt.

We loved the dining room located in an historic building in lower Manhattan. There were many choices for our restaurant week lunch. The mussels in a coconut and kaffir lime broth were superb. And my husband loved his short rib raviolis. The service was excellent and the employees were very warm and welcoming.

The pork chop was ordered medium but delivered seared raw. The chef was apologetic and the staff looked after me with extra wine and dessert. I can’t fault the response to a disappointing kitchen error. Kudos to the management for how they handled. Thank you!

My Partner and I were on a round the city trip and it’s was majestically hot at 1pm and we stopped to see Brooklyn Bridge, and saw this dark doorway looking inviting. A very cool a dimly lit but very high space met us with a long wall length bar & barstools. I asked our bartender for 2 different rum based cocktails, she duly whipped up a classic Margarita and a “Summer vacation” with rum! Both were really well made shaken, chilled and poured.

We dine there for our anniversary. Very good food, well presented and good portion. What stand out was the excellent service you will expect at a Michelin restaurant. Unfortunately very pricey, definitely for special occasion. Seems to me that most patrons were on business accounts. Foie gras was superb, as well as the lobster salad as first course. My rabbit loin was excellent and wife has the duck breast for main. Sommelier was jovial and very accommodating and made good recommendations. I topped it all with a coconut sorbet, luscious and rich. Overall great dinning experience

From the moment you step into Temple Court at The Beekman Hotel, you're immediately enveloped by an ambiance that exudes both sophistication and a refreshingly cool vibe. The architectural beauty of the place seamlessly blends with its modern touches, creating an atmosphere that's both nostalgic and contemporary. But what truly sets Temple Court apart is its impeccable drink menu. Each cocktail is a masterpiece, crafted with precision, passion, and a flair for the dramatic. The bartenders here are not just mixologists; they're artists who pour their heart and soul into every concoction, ensuring that each sip is memorable.

I thought i would justhad downstairs and have a drink on a Friday night before going out to dinner. The bar tenders ignored me after I sat there and asked them to serve me. 20 minutes later they brought me water. Terrible attitude and service but I did not let it set the tone of my night!

Had a wonderful lunch . The waldorf salad was refreshing and the short rib ravioli is the die for. A beautiful space to eat in also. We relaxed afterwards with a drink in the stunning atrium lobby. So peaceful and relaxing in a busy city.

Tasty food and nice atmosphere. The main reason we picked this place was proximity to an event we attended but we were not disappointed. We shared the swordfish and wagyu steak which was delicious. The dessert and drinks were on point too!
