We enjoyed our meal at Bobby Van's and would definitely return. Our waitstaff was excellent and very helpful. My boys got Chilean Sea Bass and LOVED it! We were told that was one of their best dishes and my boys definitely agreed it was great and it was polished off quickly. We also tried the macaroni and cheese on suggestion... More

Great food; classic NYC steakhouse. Steaks and lamb chops were great...sides were excellent too. Nice atmosphere; good for a date or a business dinner. Service was excellent. A reliable choice.

Went here with 6 other people from my office on a business lunch. The food is incredible. I had a Caesar Salad, which was terrific and the tuna entrée, which was the best I've ever had in a restaurant. Yes, the prices are astronomical, but you understand that prior to walking in to this type of establishment. The service was... More

This steakhouse reminds one of the glory days of New York eateries. From the moment you enter, you will be catered to in style by waiters who know their business, and are able to assist you in answering any and all questions. They are true professionals. The ambience here is intimate and reminds you of old New York as well... More

Our favorite steak midtown New York. I ventured off the highlighted steak selections and tried the lamb -- glad I did !! Service , atmosphere, and food are the best - a wonderful evening for any occasion.

This was my third visit to this particular restaurant, and it didn't disappoint. I'm a philistine when it comes to food because I like my steak medium well. It was excellent, nicely cooked, full of flavour and wonderfully delicious. Great smashed potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts finished off the meal. The gentleman next to us had the hash browns and... More

Decided to try out another restaurant we had not been to before, and Bobby Van's looked like a good choice. We were right. My wife started with a wedge salad; the waiter asked full or half and she selected half, which was lucky- the half was large and tasty. I had the French Onion Soup which was very good served... Headed to Bobby Van's in between the matinee and evening show. My friends are regulars there but this was my first time. Menu looked good but pricey. I usually go for one expensive good meal each trip and this was it for this New York trip. It was freezing outside but quite comfortably warm where we sat. Our waittress was... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
