The weather was perfect during our stay, so eating outside is nice to do and what is the best place of Manhattan to do so? that's little Italy! A feeling like you are in the streets of Italy itself. We had dinner at some places, but came back several times to Da Gennaro. A lot of Italians too, which is... More

The place was very nice decor wise. The food was overall good, even though some of my friends had an issue with not enough seasoning of the pasta. The service was not that great as it was very busy and the waiters kept forgetting half of the drinks we were ordering. The outside seating was nice as you were on... More

We were pressured to go in by the host who persuades tourists looking around Little Italy for a restaurant - he told us it was happy hour but inside the restauarant we were told that is only between 5 - 6pm. In the end the staff agreed to give us our first glass of wine half price which made us... More

Walking through Little Italy for the first time, I was not sure what to expect. I was hoping it would be authentic, but was expecting something more "touristy". Well, we were delighted! The stroll around is lovely. There was man selling goodies on the corner - one of the goodies being fresh made torrone (nouget). Having eaten this as a... More

My family had dinner there in a summer night during our trip to NY. We picked this place because the asmostphere was really lively, fun and warm. There were many options of food. We ordered filletnon and lasagna. The food was good overall. The staffs were friendly and helpful.

You get poor because you list a bowl of soup as the soup of the day & then I find out it cost $29.00. Terrible. Put the price on the menu. I hate surprises. By the way, soup was good until I found out the price.

We searched TripAdvisor for an Italian restaurant on Mulberry Street in Little Italy. We came across this one and the reviews were very favorable. We had dinner here at about 5:00pm on a Saturday and it was not very crowded so we were seated right away. We chose to sit indoors as it was a very hot day and we... More

First time visiting Little Italy with a friend. We were attracted by the place decorations and nice manners of the host. Ordered home made meat lasagna, pasta with spinach and gorgonzola cheese-all was delicious. Besides we had a glass of very good pinot grigio and proseco. Staff was always very kind and polite. However it was a hot day and... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
