Very good, would go again

I tried this restaurant after a disappointing experience at another restaurant. The pizza was very good. The mozzarella en carozza could have used more mozzarella on the inside. We sat outside, which was nice. It was affordable and the service was excellent. Would definitely go to again.

Having got engaged earlier in the day we came here to celebrate. The staff were attentive, friendly but not overbearing. They gave us plenty of time to choose and made recommendations. The food arrived and was incredible, it was just the right portion size leaving us room for dessert. It was incredibly tasty! The food was very reasonably priced for... More

Visited with family for evening meal, food was good & service was very attentive. All was fine until the bill arrived, service charge had been included but we weren't comfortable with the amount stated. We left a 10% tip as we felt it was at our discretion, only to then be chased down the street by a waiter who was... More

Went in for an evening meal after a day of shopping, we were a party of eight most of us had starters plus mains and drinks. All went well, the food was good and friendly service with a smile. Then came the bill, they wanted 82 dollars for the tip (approx 25%) this equals about £57 We opted to leave... More

It can be very overwhelming trying to find a great restaurant in the sea of Little Italy eateries. We randomly chose Da Gennaro and ended up very happy with that choice. We we're thoroughly impressed with the great food and the attentive wait staff made it that much better! Elvis was our server and was very nice. We even had... More

We made a quick stop for lunch at this place while visiting Little Italy. We order 2 pizzas and we were very happy with the quality and flavor. The service was good too.

This was meant to be a pleasant night out with friends on our holiday in NY after a busy day of sight seeing, but turned out quiet sour indeed as not only we were rushed our dinner as they kept leaving hastily arrived courses on our table, but we were also made to feel embarrassed as they basically rejected our... On a chilly January lunchtime what more could you want other than a delicious Merlot served at the perfect temperature and mouthwateringly good fresh made pasta. Our waiter was called Jesus and he was fabulous. Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Da Gennaro serves gluten free pasta and according to my companion it was delicious. I opted for the cannelloni and it... More

Good service, beautifully decorated for Christmas. We decided to sit outside to enjoy the hussle bustle of the streets. We found a great little table tooked away on the corner. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. We did at one point have a bit of a wait for our drinks but this was corrected when addressed and the staff... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
