Went for a late breakfast with a friend. The service and atmosphere were good. The breakfast burrito was excellent. A bit pricey but well worth it.

I have been going to this spot for a long time. Love the breakfast offer. When it comes to lunch however, it can be a very pushy experience if you don't get the right person serving you. Be ready to get interrupted a million times. I noticed a waitress seeing a coat drop from a chair but it wasn't in... More

As my title suggests - Delicatessen main advantage is its great location. The place looks nice, the staff are OK, the food is mediocre.

Delicatessen has been around for awhile and now I know why! They keep the food yummy consistently while the atmosphere is Soho Chic I visited this place during a photoshoot in Soho, and without reservations, and a crew of 5 people, we managed to get seated! (Note- we did get there at 1230pm so before the 1pm lunch crowd or... More

I visited Delicatessen long time ago and I had good memories of it so when I walked by at lunch time while being in soho I knew that it will be a good place to eat. Soup of the day was broccoli and it was fantastic choice. I loved it. Tasted amazing and the portion size was good. Alongside with... More

Having been here before on a previous trip to NYC we knew the truffle-parmeggiano fries were a must! The burger spring rolls were are as good as they sound (while making you feeling guilty while eating them!) and the burger was also great and super juicy. Only downside to the meal was the lobster Mac'n'cheese, but I think it was... More

Beautiful and quiet place with great food (must try the macs and the chicken sandwich), good service and dessert. Great location, close to many great stores, fair/moderate prices.

Every time I travel to NYC I make sure to squeeze in a time to eat at Delicatessen. I go there for lunch, because the atmosphere is relaxed and the spot is perfect between shopping at SoHo. Truffle Spinach & Artichoke Dip and the The Truffle-Parmigiano Fries are to dies for. Must, must, must try!

Been here several times and never disappointed. Nice varied menu with a prix fixe $29.00 lunch. I usually have one of their terrific salad but was in the mood for a sandwich. Have had their pig sandwich in the past which was great. Decided to try the Ruben. It was a monstrous sized delicious sandwich. Lots of corned beef. I... More

We got stuck in a downpour when walking through SoHo and sought refuge in Delicatessen mid-afternoon. We were seated immediately. It's a very attractive restaurant and the Christmas wreaths are charming. We had a few drinks and the lobster mac and cheese from Macbar. Everything was delicious. Seriously the best mac and cheese I've ever had with a generous amount... More

Staying in Nolita

Neighborhood Profile
Nolita
Despite being just off of busy Houston Street, Nolita maintains a low-key vibe that makes it a pleasant retreat in the heart of lower Manhattan. Short for “North of Little Italy,” Nolita was once considered to be part of Little Italy. Today, the neighborhood is popular with young fashionistas popping in and out of the chic independent boutiques that line Mulberry, Mott and Elizabeth Streets. In addition to shopping, there are cozy restaurants and sidewalk cafes serving everything from new-school Italian food to the world-famous cronuts. While small in size (Nolita stretches just a few blocks in each direction), it’s a great neighborhood to spend an afternoon people watching, window-shopping, and grabbing a bite to eat.
