We have been invited for a party at Bobby vans. Service was great. Wine very nice. A California Chardonnay. And the Filet Mignon was huge, great meat and cooked to perfection. side dishes were ok, but not spectacular. The mousse au chocolate tart was a great finish.

This was a business dinner, service was perfect, appetizer (clams casino) were ok, and the Chilean Sea bass was bigger than usual, but I have had better. Most of others got steak and they seemed to enjoy those... the highlight was the slab of bacon.

One word describes everything - DELICIOUS! I had the famous Bobby Van's burger and it was awesome! It is extremely rare to eat a burger at a restaurant that actually tastes like a burger. This was fantastic. The espresso and the mints were even wonderful. I highly recommend this place.

Our visit was for a week night dinner. We had a reservation for 8; we arrived around 7:50 and were seated at 7:55 pm. The restaurant was about half full when we arrived. Our starter was the lump crab appetizer. The portion was huge, the meat firm and fresh, and absolutely fabulous. I would order this again in a heartbeat!... More

I had the petite filet which had to be bigger than advertised because I couldn't finish it and a 10oz filet is usually small for me. The restaurant is pricey but not too pricey for Manhattan. Shrimp cocktail was not the jumbo shrimp I prefer but the price also wasn't jumbo. I had a side of baked potato which was... More

Went here last night with 3 other colleagues. After a few appetizers (nothing to write home about) we all had different cuts of Steak. I went with a daily special which was (supposed to be ) a 10 oz Petite Filet Oscar with Crab and Bernaise with spinach. As you would expect, with several bottles of wine and dessert, dinner... More

I like this place and it is always of a standard, but somehow it just misses the mark a bit. The food is fine, just not class leading. My colleague had to send their dish back as it was way undercooked for a medium steak. The service is polite but always just somehow a bit confused. I love the vault... More

The bartender made me a special drink that was so good..I told him what I like to drink..but didn't have any think special I could think of to order...and the next thing I know he came over to our table and gave me his secret drink. Stop by this place... More

Went for lunch with business associates. The steak sandwich had too much bread and the steak was a bit tough. The meatloaf was terrible. Avoid it. One of our group had the sesame seed ahi tuna. It was very good but he portion was small. Wine and beer were expensive. They didn't have half the desserts i.e. no apple crumble,... More

Had an opportunity to eat here after visiting the floor of the NYSE. We ate inside the old JP Morgan vault which was actually a very neat experience. The food was ok..but the actual ambiance was worth the trip. You have to see the vault!

Description
Bobby Van's Steakhouse NYC, a Downtown Wall Street establishment, is located on Broad Street, with its formal dining room being found in the lobby of the old JP Morgan Bank, while the more casual Vault Grill is below in JP Morgan's antique bank vaults. The elegant atmosphere of this classic Fine Dining, American restaurant, harkens back to the old days of banking with dark wood accents, original vault doors and walls lined with bronze deposit boxes. Private rooms are available for reservation for 2-200 guests, and the grand dining room features a twenty-foot bar with an unparalleled selection of wine and liquor. Wherever guests choose to dine, they will be blown away by the magnificent 28-day dry-aged prime steaks and succulent seafood. If you are taking a noontime lunch at the Grill, try our famous 12oz. New York sirloin, replete with fresh-cut fries and creamed spinach. The Colorado lamb chops are also a staple, and are served with mashed potatoes and are topped off with a hot mint jelly reduction. If you are searching for a quality evening dinner, however, then stop in at the Steakhouse for our ever-popular 16oz. filet mignon, or let the savory Steak Gorgonzola ignite your taste buds. Finally, if handsome beef cuts are not exactly your preference, try a hand - or a fork and knife - at some of our celebrated Seafood. Chilean sea bass, Horseradish crusted salmon, twin crab cakes and 3lb. Maine lobster are all available, and all are to die for. We formally invite you to Bobby Van's Steakhouse NYC, a sure-to-please dining experience that combines the premier American steakhouse with the elegance of a traditional Wall Street bank.
