Gazala's is a small cafe in New York's Hell's Kitchen named after chef Halabi Gazala. This original Gazala's is the city's first Druze restaurant, cooking the food of a religious minority that lives in Israel and other Middle Eastern countries. One of the great features...More

Gazala is the owner of Gazala's Place, which has a down-home, homemade atmosphere that many restaurants strive for. Gazala's heritage is Druze--a Middle Eastern ethnoreligious group about which I admittedly know little--and the restaurant is marketed as a Druze restaurant. But the food. Freshly made...More

Gazala's Place: Huge disappointment! A self admitted foodie, I was so excited to find a small, fun, different type of dining experience. After all, if you’re in NYC, experience it to the MAX! Dinner for four—wife and two adult children who eat and love anything,...More

Small neighborhood restaurant with sandwiches on handmade rolls and delicious lunch specials. Very authentic middle eastern food and handmade pita. Good for vegetarians, flexitarians and carnivores. View of kitchen chefs where I met a friendly woman making homemade stuffed grape leaves. Easy, accessible midtown location.

This was my second time and my son's 10th time. There are a lot of Middle Eastern classics, great fish, and some Druze specials. A great alternative to the standard pre-theater fare, and also a good choice for a business lunch. We highly recommend it.

Tasty food, friendly and very efficient waitress. The place is very small, only a few tables so reservation might be needed. Ordered the vegetarian combo starter which was very tasty. Same goes for the bureka. Baba ganoush and the rolls in vine leaves were excellent...More

Fabulous food. The food and the pitas were amazing, so fresh and authentic. So was everything else we found. It was also very vegetarian friendly, which we really appreciate. We will come as frequently as possible.

The burekes are top class. Best thing here. The hummus is also very good and desserts also. The falafel is a little below the standard of the other things as a little lesss tasty. Overall a fantastic choice for a delicious lunch.

Walked here from our hotel after the storm Stella. It was worth going out for! Very small dining room - cozy. The lamb was excellent - tender and flavorful. Falafel was filling. They do not sell any alcohol. If you want a glass of wine...More
