We were at 'Jersey Boys'. I asked one of the staff members if The Cosmic Diner was okay and he said yes, been there several times. We had a late, after theater supper. Clean, great service, old school menu and food. I had the bean soup, liver and onions that was tender and fries. So full. My wife had a... More

We ate there almost every day. Portions of food are really big and the prices are reasonable. Would recommend this place to anyone. Staff friendly and polite.

Just far enough away from Times Square to be a great place to eat before or after a show. Great diner style menu and decent prices. Old school service was really nice and not in your face. In a building with a lot of construction going on but didn't impact the diner.

A real gem in the TSQ area where everything else is becoming gentrified. Charming, personal, fair prices, more than enough portions, basic and delicious dishes. A place to go to focus on eating

No frills, excellent food, and not at New York sky high prices. Generous portions. The staff very attentive and kept refilling our glasses with iced water which was very welcome. Most days we could not manage a dessert. Although on one day we skipped breakfast and went in for brunch. Hubby had a banana split which was huge. If your on... More

We were staying in the Novatel on 52nd st so ate at Cosmic diner as it is on the same block. Breakfasts were really good, freshly cooked and very filling. We were set up for the day and didn't eat again until Dinner. Service is quick and efficient. I loved the coffee.

Having already been ripped off for lousy food in another 'diner' (see my review) we found this place by pure accident, just walking along looking for brunch. It's everything you could ask for. The staff are totally professional and you can just see how proud they are of the experience they're providing the customer. Just over 8 dollars for two... More

We came here for breakfast by recommendation of the concierge. So good that I came back for lunch again. Decent food well priced for new York.

Tried others Applebee's apple jacks and so but nothing comes close to cosmic food and service. Nick even gave us directions to Astoria park

Service was extremely fast despite a full restaurant. The portions were huge and we could have easily shared. My daughters ordered pancakes and eggs. Each received three dinner plate sized pancakes and what looked like 3 scrambled eggs. They both enjoyed the pancakes but couldn’t finish them. My husband ordered the pot roast which was fork tender and really flavorful,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
