What a wonderful, creamy, crunch, delicious pizza! The artichoke one is absolutely fantastic. About 5 dollars a slice.

The pizza has a unique taste. It's like they put bashamel sauce instead of tomato sauce. It's heavy and rich kind of pizza. Friendly staff and service. You are tired of normal Pizza (I don't think this is possible by the way) go and check them out for a change.

If you are even a little unsure, get a slice. They are only $5 and worth every penny. They are huge. It's different than your usual slice of cheese with pepperoni, but the only people that won't love it are the ones that don't try it.

We've had Artichoke Pizza many times. A few times here, and a couple on the West Side by 1 Oak and Avenue night clubs. I think this location is far better. This is located on 14th Street just above alphabet city, not far from the Big Alis 14th street main electrical plant. The streets are always bustling there, and the... More

The artichoke slice feels like you are consuming 2,000 calories of cream of artichoke soup on a thick pizza crust. It is tasty, but will knock you out as it is a food coma inducer. I actually think the margarita square slice is their best option.

I am leaving 4 stars rather than 3 in large part due to the quality of service that we received. After reading the stellar reviews regarding the famous "Artichoke Pizza", we decided to stop by Artichoke Basille's during our recent trip to NYC. We ordered a whole artichoke pizza for a family of 4. When it arrived at our table... More

Great pizza at a very good price. I just love that place. Yes, you have to stand while eating, but it is absolutely worthwhile!

Heavy but great. Can only eat it once in a very long while because it is so heavy. Like artichoke dip and bread basically.

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
