Nice place to stop into for an after-dinner drink or two. Service was decent (not overly attentive, but decent). Wouldn't search out going back, unless looking for a quick nice place on the way back to GCC.

I don't have to venture far from my office to find a great place to meet friends or have a business lunch. The food is excellent and service is great. Highly recommend if you are looking to meet someone near Grand Central.

Actually, for the neighborhood, I find the prices here totally reasonable. The $19 burger that gave a previous reviewer sticker shock (clearly not a New Yorker: this is a nice restaurant in midtown, after all) is HUGE, high quality, accompanied by very good fries (or sweet potato fries) and served in a comfortable, fairly upscale-but- not-fussy atmosphere with friendly and... I guess this is bistro style american food? We shared veal meatballs to start (very nice), then mac and cheese and strip steak for main, then cheesecake and cookies for desserts. All nice (though a little disappointed the cheesecake had no base? Surely a main component of cheesecake? The coulis was v. nice though). Good service, nice atmosphere, very hand... More

Had a quick meal before going to a show and food was very well prepared and reasonably priced. We told the waiter we only had 30 minutes and he said that would not be a problem. We were done and out the door in about 25 minutes which was prefect

We generally stay in this neighborhood during our city visits and this is the perfect spot to walk to for a post-dinner Malbec. It is quiet and welcoming late in the evenings and that is exactly what we want. (Other nearby options, eg. at Grand Central or on Broadway tend to be crowded and noisy.)

The "award winning" burger is decent for $19, but slightly pricey even for NYC. Probably better bangs for the buck in the area on a food/price ratio.

Yesterday was my second time at Madison and Vine and it was as great as I remembered. The food is gourmet and the wine list has something for all tastes. My wife and I will be back!

The interior is nice and modern. The staff are very accommodating. I went here for Sunday Brunch, so I didn't have the opportunity to see their dinner menu. But, I was fairly underwhelmed from the menu choices. Very limited and I had some difficulty in making a choice. I chose the Hangover Pasta, not because I was hungover, but it... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
