We loved being able to pop downstairs for a quick dinner after an exhausting day out and about in Manhattan. The Mac Cheese was perfect comfort food after running the NY Marathon!!

We went for dinner. Atmosphere is nice- typical New York bistro. Service was good but not great. Food was overall good but not great. I have nothing bad to say but it wasn't memorable enough to warrant going back.

Ate here on our first night in NYC as it was next to our hotel. It's obviously a popular place with locals and tourists alike. Food was good; short ribs with chick peas (hubby) and chicken salad for me. Both dishes were tasty and portions were what I'd call normal for the States, so no dessert! Service was efficient and... Convenient location for us, right next door - good food - the side was open to the street so you could watch everything going on - from crazy gridlocked traffic to policemen chatting about a chap they had just arrested! The food and service was very good too!!

Food was delicious but my dish was cold in places, seems like it had been reheated?? Dessert was fantastic. Service was adequate, waiter was civil but not particularly friendly.

We had dessert here one night after the theater and it was lovely. Good service and lovely little sweet to finish off our night! Also had lunch the next day. The hamburger was wonderful! And I had the ahi, but asked it with salad or vegetables, rather than potatoes. They served it on a bed of crispy stir-fired veggies that... More

I met a colleague for drinks and a business talk here. It was pouring rain, so getting a table was no question. The beer selection was somewhat pedestrian, so I had a Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout, although I prefer the Irish. Pricey, but the staff was pleasant. Their computers were down, so we had to use the old-fashioned slip-and-slide for... More

We were staying at the Library Hotel, adjacent to (and associated with) this restaurant and decided to try it for a quick dinner after walking having spent a day of walking about the city. While the atmosphere was nice and the food okay (except for the terrible wines) the service (in this case the term "service" is a misnomer) was... More

We were staying at the adjacent Library Hotel. Went in twice for a drink at the Bar, what a waste of time. Slow and rude service. when i asked what beers they had the barman pointed to three bottles on the bar...they just could not be bothered............

We ate here twice as a foursome - convenient as we were staying at the Library Hotel. The restaurant is comfortable without being sumptuous and is open to the air on the longer 41st street side; it has a pleasant feel on a arm day. Given its location along Madison it can get noisy and very busy indeed, particularly early... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
