We stopped here on our way from Grand Central Station to our hotel on Wednesday afternoon at 2 PM. Walked in and were a little nervous because a lot of upscale business people were having lunch and the place looks pretty fancy. The staff couldn't have been nicer --seated us at a table for five by the window and continued... More

This is my 3rd visit here. I like this restaurant but its expensive. We had a few flaws with our waiter getting our orders wrong. My Mum ordered a Bacardi and was given Campari. Then my daughter and my sister in law wanted the fruit but with no creme anglaise. Both arrived drowned in it. My sister in law wanted... More

We were 3 people eating at this restaurant on a Saturday night, super crowded. The menu offer good not only meat but even fish, we tried a filet streak and i have to admit is was really good, very juicy. The location is beautiful but we didn't feel comfortable we could understand we had to eat fast, they needed the... More

The Capital Grille on 42nd street is a well-run outpost of a relatively large chain. For what it is, it deserves it's 5 stars. No, it's not Peter Luger. It's also not Wolfgang's, or Sparks, or the Strip House. It's a Capital Grille and what that means is very professional service and very consistent offerings. For this particular occasion I... More

Booked this restaurant for a meal after the NYC Marathon as a treat and my partner who wanted a steak. Steak was ok, but not fantastic, I'm a veggie and the options along with what I eventually chose was poor. Although can't fault the service the food was not great and way overpriced for what it was, would not go... More

The real disappointing point was the start of the evening. Terrible reception, we waited for close to 10 mins pretty much unattended in what was a not very busy evening After a this it went well. Good waiter. Very extensive wine list Had tuna tartare for starter, very fresh and well seasoned Then filet. Perfectly cooked, really delicious Sides of... More

Excellent food in a great atmosphere. The quality of the meat was outstanding. Also for the rest of the family who preferred not to eat meat. There was really nice fish on the menu.

Have been coming back since I tried his place in early September. It is my favorite place for a steak now in NYC, and that is why: 1. Filet Mignon is excellent! Cooked exactly the way you like it! Pittsburgh medium is my favorite! And the quality remains the same every visit. 2. Lobster & crab cakes are soft and... More

We were early for an appointment in the area and I saw this place from across the street. We were all hungry and had plenty of time. We are so glad that we found this place. I understand that this is a chain and I will be looking for these places wherever I go. Our server was John Sliva (provided... More

We had dinner with friends. We were four and we all had the steak covered with coffee beans. The steak was made exactly as ordered and it was very good. Sides of creamy spinach, beans and fries were good as well. The spinach was better than others. Overall - a very good steak . Cannot say about the other things... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
