I just visited Capital Grill the ambiance was very good, loved the skylight area clear and welcoming. The service very good. They have a promotion of unlimited wine of 7 wine choices for $28, very good deal. The appetizers very good. And the main dish amazing, the meat was cooked to perfection. Medium is perfect, pink inside and well cooked... More

This was our first time to any Capital Grille. I was so hesitant to select this steakhouse because I really try to avoid any "chains" when visiting NYC. I am so glad I decided to come here. The restaurant is gorgeous and very elegant. The service was impeccable. I was so impressed with the personal attention given and how the... More

Spent a weekend in New York in May. We had a very nice dinner. Our waiter Leo was very attentive and helpful. He also surprised us with a little dessert.

Last Thursday we celebrated our son's and fiancee's engagement. Joining us were his godparents. All of us have eaten many times at a variety of up-market restaurants in NYC and abroad. This dinner was among the best we have ever had. Granted, is was a happy occasion, but The Capital Grille did a bang-up job treating us well. When we... More

A quick meal with my son turns into a memory that won't soon be forgotten. The atmosphere is spectacular and the steaks are simply the best I've ever had. But the best part of this Cap Grille is the staff. NYC restaurants are known for their service but this team redefines what excellent service feels like. Most times a table... More

The food and wine we during are visit were magnificent, the service however was horrible. Nonetheless, probably just one person so still deserves a good rating.

Visited here with four other on a recent business trip to NYC. Had a good dinner, but there were a few issues: - Atmosphere is good with the restaurant next to a lively bar area. However, we found the music too loud and it was difficult to hear each other - Sampled a Sauvignon Blanc and a Cabernet Sauvignon from... More

Nice place, good food, a bit slow on service on Thursday. The only thing to mention is a strange story with tips, when the waiter received $30 in cash for a bill $280 with $130 wine inside and brought me a leaflet answering common foreigner's question about the tips, saying that 15% is minimum. Average is 15-20%. His voice sounded... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
