Last eve I celebrated being elected to The Board of Veterinarians International and this was the perfect choice. Owner Suzanne has given us such a wonderful choice of traditional expected courses and also surprises like veggie lasagna and quinoa burgers! Flavor saunter and sophisticated yet comfy too! The attentive staff were smiles all around as they serve as a team... More

Our second visit to this charming little bistro on the upper east side. We arrived late one evening famished and thirsty. Although well past the dinner service we were greeted warmly and shown to a lovely table. Our waiter was attentive and informative. The Vesper was perfect, I enjoyed a muddled cucumber basil martini - different, but very good. The... More

A very cute looking restaurant, however the service and food were very underwhelming. Went their for my birthday dinner and wasn't impressed with the tuna tartare - it had been preprepared (it arrived within seconds of ordering) and tasted very fishy. When asked to test the wine, my glass was filthy and full of lemon or lime pieces....didn't taste nice... More

We got here at about 8:45pm and waited and chatted for quite a while before our drink orders were taken. Once we ordered, the waiter/busboy was very attentive about filling our glasses with water and wine, but it was a long time before anyone came to take our order for food. We ordered french fries for the table (excellent)...that was... More

Thank you so much for your honest review of your experience at BCN. I really take all advice seriously and plan to address these issues today in our waiter meeting. I do wish I knew which day you were there so that I could pin point exactly which waiter was attending to your table. Reviews are so important to small... More

Waiter was ok, bus boys much more attentive. Apps were just so-so. Duck was delicious although the side of cauliflower and Brussel sprout leaves were burnt. Lobster ravioli was great. Short ribs were tender but salty. Mac and cheese was good. Desserts not memorable. We had a good time because of the company but would not go back.

Off the street and down a few steps into this wonderfully decorated dining room with small but very extensive bar.An arrangement of beautiful fresh flowers divide the soft lit room. The menu is well rounded with French inspired dishes including seasonal specials.Service was excellent, obstructive, with everything that you wanted seconded guessed. A must for people expecting a very good night out... More

My wife saw this on a tv show, so she wanted to check it out. It's been there for quite a while, so they must have enough return customers, but we will not be two of them. The food was mediocre at best, and overpriced even by NY standards...overpriced to what you get anyway. Wine selection seemed basic, and by... More

We when to bistro chat noir for birthday. The food was great! We ordered chat Mac and cheese, roasted duck, and the chocolate soufflé. However, I rated this establishment as poor due the the service. The waiter stood around most of the time talking to each other than helping us. Also my husband ordered the classic frisée salad and got... More

I stopped here completely by chance on a Saturday night, and got a seat at the bar, since the rest of the place was booked up. The service was very friendly, and I thoroughly enjoyed my steak tartare and Prosecco. I was very pleased with the experience, and would definitely recommend this place.

Wonderful little bistro close to Central Park. Great spot for a quiet dinner or a heart-to-heart talk. Food was delicious and beautifully plated. Onion soup and blue cheese olives for the martinis were standouts.

Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
