We were recommended this bar and being a boxing fan I was really looking forward to it. On arrival the young barmaid was snappy and unfriendly. This was an immediate put off so we had one drink (fast) and left. Won't be back.

If you are fed up with expensive drinks and posh cocktail bars, then Jimmy's Corner is your kind of place. The drinks a very cheap and the staff is friendly. It is not a big place, so it gets easily crowded. It seems to have both tourists and locals and a fare share of interesting characters. It is definitely worth... More

You have to love this place. Great character, cheap beer, nice people, what can't you love. Also it's only 1/2 block off of Times Square, great location. Not sure how they can do it but they do.

Small, traditional and old fashion pub. It´s great. Box is the topic. There are not tourists and it is not a global tavern. You really will spend good time there. And it is so cheap!!!

We were very glad to find this bar. So many bars and restaurants are part of chains, and the same wherever you go, which doesn't appeal to us. Jimmy's Corner has a real character of its own, and we loved the taste and price of the IPA beer. Close to Times Square, so a good place to take a break... More

Good prices but didn't feel very welcoming. One of the barmaids worked very hard, she was running round serving not just the bar area but back room too - she definitely deserved her tips. The other barmaid just stood around doing nothing. I prefer Rudys bar.

If you want local dive bar, this is the place. Bartender was SUPER unfriendly, and long islands were less than great, but you are paying for that (local) atmosphere and experience

If you want a basic bar, no frills, then ok.order drinks at the bar and take a seat, lots of boxing memorabilia on the scruffy walls The whole place could do with a bit of a spring clean ,,

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
