I'm not sure if they were open last September but the last time they were I did go. They have another café not sure where it is exactly. I through enjoyed this lace for the good part of 8 years before the high rent forced them to close down the place

Last summer so many things we like do see and do in the city seemed to have vanished, but not this place. Then I read tonight that it too has gone!!! No more leisurely brunches....

Great place to stop after a walk on the High Line. Berry tart and excellent coffee. One star off for no outdoor seating which would have been perfect on this beautiful summer day.

The food was great and the employees was so nice. If you're in the neighborhood I would recommend to drop by and grab a coffee. The atmosphere is sweet, and I fell in love!

We stopped by to get a break from all the walking in NYC. The place is warm and cozy, the service was great and the coffee very good. We will definitely go back in our next trip to NYC.

West village "must stop." Super fresh, cramped a bit, but isn't everything in the West Village? Perfect place for a tasty bFast or lunch. Healthy style entrees.

We stopped in on a rainy morning because our favorite music store (Rebel Rebel, right next store) hadn’t opened yet. We’d seen Angelique often but hadn’t gone in. Glad we finally did. Friendly and skilled waitresses, delicious yogurt and granola, strong hot coffee, a slab of warm fresh dreamy almond brioche with a little pot of jam on the side,... More

Very good breakfast or coffee spot. A little bit messy service, but this only adds to the open and alternative atmosphere.

No it's not a 5 STAR restaurant, but for quick little bites it has a cute, young romantic environment. Perfect for a spontaneous date lunch with someone you've been with for a while. Wouldn't take someone on a first date if I had a little extra cash, but maybe for college kids. Still, food was good, servers were awesome, and... More

Not charming or welcoming. A dessert and coffee place where the server resented serving. Maybe he should take the sock off his head so he can hear people asking for service...we had coffees and desserts that were passable but c'mon, guys, you are in NYC. As a New Yorker I was ashamed.

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
