Great food, super busy. Noisy, busy, but the food is fresh made, hot and yummy juicy. Ordered for take out. Small wait but worth it!

Great local place for breakfast . Friendly staff. Homemade cinnamon rolls. Fluffy pancakes. Price ranges from $6.00 on up for breakfast plates.

We went for breakfast. They had a shelf in the kitchen with hundreds of pieces of dried out pre cooked bacon sitting there. It was 10:30am. They were just sitting there all day drying out & collecting dust or flies or whatever. Disgusting. I ordered eggs scrambled with ham & cheese, & asked for a fresh side of bacon. The... More

This is a long time, well established, locally owned restaurant with a nice variety of food items. The decor is typical homestyle Carlsbad with friendly prompt wait staff. We ate here for breakfast mid morning and it was moderately busy with many locals who must frequent the cafe since the wait staff seemed to be familiar with many of the... More

Nothing special. A bit pricey for lunch...adult sandwich and side $9.25. Had a sandwich that was plain and cold. Tomato basil soup was really good. Kids meals $6. Choices were ham and cheese quesadilla, burger, or grilled cheese...all with fries. Good portion size.

We needed a place for lunch after just arriving at Carlsbad. The place was packed, and It was a Wed afternoon. Lots of locals. Good service, a lot to pick from on the menu. It seemed kind of expensive, $10 for a club sandwich, but we're from the Midwest, that may be normal in the Southwest.

We've eaten here for years, and always the breakfast has been plentiful and really good. This time, I had no problem with the food or service, but it does seem that the prices charged seem set to gouge the oilfield workers and anyone else that eats here. I don't mind paying a premium as long as the meal is good... More

This is one of my favorite breakfast burrito stops. It is a bit pricy but tasty enough that it's worth it. Friendly staff & good atmosphere although when busy it's very loud & hard to hear conversation.
