We eat there often, during lunch mostly. Food is always excellent and the service cannot be beat. No matter how busy they are you are in and out very quickly. Very friendly place. Highly recommended.

Food and service were great. Breakfast burrito with hot green Chile was wonderful. Jalapenos were from Hatch, and the salsa is made fresh.

I highly recommend PRC for breakfast . We had the huevos rancheros. Kids had pancakes with bacon. Service was very good. The price was a little more than I was expecting so I gave 4 stars!

We stopped here while in town to go to Carlsbad Caverns. It was delicious. We both had patty melts...mine with grilled onions and his with green chilies. Perfectly cooked-pink inside and oozing with cheese. Steak fries were fresh and crispy. All in all, a great place to stop for lunch. Unfortunately, they are a breakfast and lunch spot only. We... I used to eat at this place in 2003 or so, and I am back in town for work. I stopped in and the food is just as good as I remembered it. The place is full of locals from the ranching and oil/gas industry, so you know it has to be a hometown favorite. After eating breakfast there, I... More

Good is great, and price is reasonable. They're huevos rancheros is some of the best! I will phone in a order for some pronto burritos and I don't know how they do it, but the hash browns inside stay crispy.

Visited 9/23/16 about 8:30 a.m. Casual. seating includes tables and booths. This is a lively, noisy, happy breakfast place, you can tell the locals like it. It wasn't hard to see why either, when we walked in we were greeted with friendly smiles and quickly seated even though they were busy. Coffee was great. I had heurvos (sp?) rancheros. hubby... Pecos River Cafe is my favorite place in Carlsbad for breakfast. The smothered breakfast burrito (with beans and hash browns) is enough to keep you going all day. The cinnamon rolls are pretty darn good. Been there for lunch as well, never been disappointed in my meal. Service is always on point.
