BBQ is a very subjective thing, but for me Red Chimney is the best in Carlsbad. Meals aren't slathered with BBQ sauce, it's served on the side and you can decide just how much you want. Service is always good. You also get rolls and can put some honey on them for your dessert or you can order one of... More

It was really difficukt to decide where to have dinner. This one was our pick: good surprise. The meat is really good, price is fair. The owner came by to greet us and the people there was extremly friendly and kind.

My family of three ate here while on a trip to Carlsbad Caverns. We researched the local eateries carefully, as reviews were fairly mixed for some of the most recommended places, and decided on the Red Chimney. Now, we live just outside Memphis, so barbecue is in our blood, but this place did it right: Brisket, turkey, and hot links... More

We had great service at this restaurant. For the price you pay, you get a lot of food. The BBQ here was amazing.

One of the best Bar B que restaurants we've eaten at. The prices were reasonable, very hearty servings. The staff was very friendly and polite. My (17) daughter thought the decor was amazing. My (11) son said they have the best ranch dressing ever.

This was our first time but it won't be our last. The BBQ was excellent. We loved the ribs. The sides were outstanding. I especially enjoyed the potato salad and the mac and cheese. Service was good as well. Nice atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

The building is painted red so you can't miss it. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The BBQ was good as well as the sides. What is killer there is the cobbler. We had cherry and apple cobbler. Delicious! When we asked we found out it is made on site and made in the morning. The cost was a... More

The catfish was supposedly the best, although I found it a little tough, but the mac and cheese was AMAZING and the beans were good. The hushpuppies were very spicy. Overall, very good!
