We chose the Full Moon Cafe for lunch due to the on site tasting for Lost Colony beer. The place was very busy but our server handled the crowd well. The cafe has a very small indoor dining room and then a larger outdoor seating area which would have been very hot during our visit. The food was hit or... More

My daughter and I went to Full Moon Cafe for dinner. When I opened the door, we were met with flies and a dirty floor. They could clean the floor during dinner service. We both had salads. I got a salad with Cajun chicken on top. They were out of grilled chicken. It was on top of the salad like... More

Stopped for lunch when walking through Manteo. There is limited inside seating, which was full so we sat outside on an extremely hot day. It was bearable, thanks to the fans they had, but certainly would have been more comfortable inside. Food was nothing special. Burger was ok, but the kids chicken tenders were over-cooked and the fries were a... More

Took family for lunch. Server was very attentive and outgoing. Probably the highlight of the visit. Appetizer plates were dirty, with crusted food on two of them. Only beer options seemed to be tap craft beers, although choices we had were very good. Consider a domestic beer to the regimen. Crab bisque ok, crab and shrimp enchilada was soggy/soupy, oyster... Full Moon is amazing! Aside the greatest selection of the house brews they also feature local beers! They offer indoor and outdoor seating as well as dog friendly! Seriously, can't beat the upbeat staff and most definitely a kid friendly atmosphere!

Has been awhile since visiting OBX so we wanted to try a couple new places. Saw this place advertised and also was recommended by a couple of locals. REALLY unimpressed. Found the beer menu just my style since I favor British style ales, stouts, and porters. I ordered the Scottish ale, my favorite style. The Scottish ale was okay but... More

ate here after a morning at the Roanoke historical site and other locations on the island. Did a flight of beer first, ok beer not as good as in VA. ordered the fish and chips. Fish was pretty fresh and a large piece of flounder, but gave me a tummy ache later with the fried food and heat. pretty noisy... More

We were reading through the reviews of local restaurants and decided upon the Full Moon....we began in the tavern and the craft beer selection was really nice. we had made reservations due to the fact that all restaurants we had visited for dinner the past few nights had waiting lists.....we walked into the restaurant 10 minutes before our reservations and... Sat sweltering after being seated on patio. Couldn't get any service. Finally relocated back inside where a bevy of employees were whooping it up with their cell phones...completely oblivious to customers. Beer good, food average.

To be fair, we didn't eat in the actual restaurant, but we inhabited a couple of stools in intimate "Lost Colony Brewery" that shares a patio entrance with Full Moon Cafe. We had a stellar seared ahi appetizer to go along with the flight of brews. The bartenders are a little salty in just the way you want your bartender... More
