We had a great time at Big Al's. I had the Burger with crab and bacon and it was the best burger ever! We had fun playing in the game area while we waited for the food.

Had lunch here twice in the same week .. more than than one trip into Manteo proper. Each meal was a very satisfying lunch with beverage ... Coke of course! Food was well prepared and the waitress each time was very pleasant. As you can tell the theme is heavy along the lines of the Coco Cola museum in Atlanta... More

The decor was a nice throwback and the service was great. They didn't have any vanilla ice cream so we couldn't get a root beer float we had been wanting. The food was good but the onion rings were definitely worth the extra money! It's a nice family restaurant when visiting the OBX.

Coke, Coke Coke....we are a Coke family and love the décor. Its like a trip back to the 50's and 60's. Place is fun to visit and kids dance around. The burgers are ok but seem to be frozen patties and the fries...well...stink. The onion rings though were crispy and very good. Overall we liked the place and burgers ok.

When we travel to the OBX with our large family we eat in every night but our last night when my husband and I treat everyone to a night out at a restaurant. I found Big Al's when looking through one of the coupon magazines in our beach house. Since my husband is a record collector of '50s and '60s... More

We talked about going because we found a coupon, it was a welcoming surprise! Good food, not greasy! Cooked to order. I had the big al cheese burger with bbq pork on top and one onion ring. Sounds kinda crazy I know, but it was crazy good! My husband had a route 64 burger with bacon lettuce and tomatoes with... More

A larger place inside than it appears from the outside. They have parking in the front, and a small driveway leads to more parking out back. They have several rooms for seating, including an old fashion soda bar setup. Coca-Cola memorabilia nearly covers every inch of the wall space, and the rest is '50s era references. Service was reasonable, and... More

Affordable family dining in a very cool old-school diner atmosphere. Lots of Coca-Cola theme running throughout the place. We were there at lunch time and we were seated promptly and had attentive waitstaff. Kids loved their experience. Gift shop on site as well

This is our second lunch here in 2 times to obx. It's becoming a tradition for us. Nostalgic diner based on coca cola decor. Food is always good as is service. They serve soda, milk shakes etc plus beer. I think if you are in the area it is worth it. If you are planning a trip to aquarium, it's... More
