Hubby and I enjoyed our dinner very much. We started with salads (wedge and romaine). He had the nightly special (halibut) and I enjoyed the seafood stew. The salads were large, fresh and delicious. The entrees were unique, flavorful and very enjoyable! We topped it...off with a plum crumble and the chocolate torte specials. Both were tasty and were generous portions. Highly recommend if you’re in Wellfleet.More

We were having dinner outside at the Wicked Oyster tonight. It was sunny when we were seated when suddenly in blew a huge thunderstorm with torrential rain and, GET THIS, they tried to put up extra umbrella's which had no effect in keeping us or...our food dry AND they wouldn't let the 3 tables outside eat inside despite many empty tables because they were reserved! The extra umbrellas all blew down anyway because they tried to rig them on chairs! We left drenched mid-meal and they CHARGED US full price! I told them what happened and they said they can't control the weather! What they understand about hospitality is exactly nothing. I still can't believe it happened. Our waitress was nice, she felt bad for us but there was nothing she could do. The wait staff were standing inside looking at us through the open door... Speechless!More

The food was average at best. Service and outdoor ambiance were very good. The calamari had no flavor and the dipping sauce was also flavorless. The special lobster dip chips didn’t have any lobster flavor.

The sort of restaurant where you want to eat your way through the menu. High-end, for a nice night out. Delicious.

I've been coming to the Wicker Oyster for dinner and brunch for years, even hosting a private even there in 2018. While there are certainly off nights, and the hours have fluctuated a lot with the pandemic, a recent trip for dinner was excellent. The...outdoor space they have set up is lovely, and the entire energy is welcoming yet refined. The calamari are the best in town, and the housemade bread delivers too. The fish tends to be simple but perfectly cooked, and the fish cakes are also a great local offering. When they open back up for brunch we'll be first in line for a wicked omelette.More

We ate here two weekend mornings in a row. We have never been to the area and Were a bit hesitant about Breakfast at an oyster restaurant. We rate it tops! I can’t wait to come back. Service staff was a amazing on Saturday, a...very good on Sunday. We loved the menu. The selections are amazing. I love the healthy power breakfast scramble. The wicked omelette is the daily special, had a different one both days. They were very accommodating with substitutes for Keto diets. There are 3 different rooms and bar seating. There is seasonal outside dining and beautiful planting.More

Walked in to an empty restaurant with every table free at 5:15pm for dinner. Hostess struggled to seat us claiming multiple reservations. After being seated waitress was pleasant. Ordered clam chowder which was lukewarm and tasted sour. We were told the soup has a “tart”...taste. Clam chowder tart!! Not buying that and sent it back. Main dish scallops and risotto. Again, food not hot. Uneven temperature of the food. Risotto was not creamy and 1 scallop undercooked. Risotto tasted like rice. My daughter ordered fish and chips. Battered lightly and was tasty. No complaints there but would not go back. As we left I noted 6 empty tables still unoccupied.More

THE.FOOD.IS.INCREDIBLE. End of story. The menu is extremely diverse with fresh, local flavors and amazing creativity. The cocktails and wine are also fantastic. My husband and I hosted our rehearsal dinner here in September and Ken, Eliza and the whole team made us feel so...special. We booked the event in the fall of 2020 when there was so much uncertainty and they were so extremely flexible, accommodating and communicative every step of the way. Every single one of our guests loved their meal. They even went above and beyond and printed custom menus for us with our names on them and gave us extras that I will be using in a scrapbook! Just so thoughtful. We are Wicked Oyster fans for life!More

it was praised to us for the fried calamari but they were very good but not over the top. raw oysters very good but rather average tomato horseradish sauce with them…. the fried oysters were DELICIOUS and hot but the fries luke warm and greasy....my sashimi tuna was not sashimi but tataki and the waitress refused to accept my explanation (I am a chef) and insisted she served sashimi- on the menu it also didn’t say it was cooked outside - anyway in this case the customer-me - was right and the argument that sashimi is served like this on Cape Cod is not a valid one. I was tempted because of this to give an average but since my experience was in between that and very good for some items I decided to up it. not much effort though, plates plain, oysters on metal plates not really charming. the explanation for what the special oyster tart is: kind of like an english pudding with oysters in it…🤔 let’s one wonder if the chef gives the waitresses an insight on the current specials. the grüner veltliner on the menu was great. Service too fast - we were there at 4.45 pm and out there an hour later … waitress came up 3 times to take our order while we were studying the menu- and we are usually waiting for someone to take our order. it almost seamed like they were trying to get us out for the next guests and that is not comfortable.More

We were supposed to go on a sunset sail in Wellfleet Harbor with sailing master Captain Curly, however, the harbor docks had been removed for the long overdue harbor dredging project, so the trip was cancelled. We had made reservations at the Wicked Oyster and...a quick phone call and the time for reservation was changed from 6 of us to 8. In case you haven't been, the WO is located on Main Street in Wellfleet. There is a traffic light on Route 6 where you turn onto Main Street and the WO is located a few feet down main on the right hand side of the street. While the parking out front might be limited there is plenty of spaces behind the building. The entrance to that parking lot is just past the building. No need to walk around from the back of the building to enter as there is a doorway there in the back that takes you right inside. If you enter from the rear there is a bar area on the right and the host station is right in front. The restrooms also located near the hostess station. We had opted for outdoor seating in their spacious courtyard area. They have several of the very large heating columns that kept the area warm as it was a cool fall evening. As mentioned there were 8 of us and Val was our server. She did a great job handling our request that the checks be set up by couples. The menu is small but full of very tempting dishes. As we pondered our selections Val took our drink orders. they have a list of cocktails and wines by the glass (and bottles) My wife selected a glass of Pinot Noir and I ordered a tonic water with ice and lime. Both were nice pours and reasonable priced. The drinks that others ordered were equally pleasing. My wife ordered the cup of clam chowder and the sole for dinner. I ordered a double appetizer for dinner, the sushi and the wedge. Others also ordered the sole and someone else ordered the dinner sushi. One ordered the calamari and another ordered the seafood soup. I thought it different that you were charged for a basket of bread. The bread was definitely tasty and well worth the extra we paid for it, just that we haven't encountered that on the Cape before and we have been here for over 10 years. Everything was brought out in a timely manner and everything was generous portions wonderful tasting. I especially enjoyed the sushi. The blue cheese dressing with the wedge was also very good as it was very thick and full of flavor. My FBIL had ordered the dinner of the sushi where I had ordered the appetizer. Both portions were of equal size and he got some vegetables with his. I think the order I had with the wedge was less expensive and better tasting. The interior decor etc is somewhat rustic and reflects the early days of inns on Cape Cod. It is charming and very pleasant and the courtyard is a great option. This was our first time at the WO although we drive by it on a regular basis going to Wellfleet Harbor or stopping at the Newcomb Hollow shop. I hope we have many opportunities to return. FYI, masks are needed when you enter and can be removed for dining. Staff wears masks all the time.More

We had dinner here this evening - in a beautiful outdoor seating area. The menu here is a delight. Lemon risotto with scallops was superb. We also had the lobster tail gnocchi dish. It was heavenly - lobster cooked perfectly, and the tarragon cream sauce...- with more lobster - made an amazing entree. Wait staff was friendly and the whole experience just capped off our last evening on the Cape.More

Couldn't miss a visit here since my last visit (for breakfast) was so great! I love this place! The ambiance is great and the staff is wonderful. My husband and I were seated indoors in an area I had not seen previously. It was warm...and welcoming with fun artwork on the walls. I had the blackened catch of the day which was swordfish accompanied by coconut rice and snow peas - over the top delicious! My husband had the lemon herb risotto with scallops and it was very good. Appetizers were amazing but entrée left quite a bit to be desired. Scallops were dry. Risotto was watery. Was supposed to be lemon herb but tasted more like the sun-dried tomato drizzle. Could’ve been much more delicate. I’ll be honest we’re still good though and...we are tourists so still enjoyed ourselves. Very nice bartenders and serversMore
