We mostly cooked dinner in our motel this trip due to COVID concerns but wanted to eat out our last night. We couldn’t have picked a better place. They seemed to have very good protocols in place. Outside of that, the food was great. We...got mussels, steamers fries and a salad. The fries were fresh and very good. The mussels and steamers were delicious and the salad fresh and crispy. We also got ice cream afterwards and that was equally good. We typically visit the Cape way off season but we would definitely return here if it was open our next time through.More

A group of us went here for lunch and had the order taker's apparent frustration with another group taken out on us. Since I spent a fair amount of money here I especially did not appreciate this treatment though it still wouldn't be appropriate even...if I spent $1. My lobster roll was decent and the potato salad was really good; the others in our group were mostly satisfied.More

I had the lobster roll and clam chowder. Each was perfect! The lobster roll was overstuffed with beautifully cooked lobster meat, very little mayo, delicious! Even the roll was delicious, lightly toasted, with just enough butter that I knew it was there. The chowder was...equally well prepared. A luxurious and very tasty broth, and full of clams with potatoes. Perfectly prepared and served beach classics!More

During our week at the cape we are at PJ’s twice. The sesame soy tuna salad is excellent. The fish tacos are also amazing. Once we are in the dining area. They are on top of cleaning and social distancing. The second time we did...take out. Super fast and easy pick up. Did I mention the clam chowder? A favorite!!More

Excellent fried seafood! The best, good portions and prices. The staff is great. The last visit we called ahead to order and were disconnected just after stating what we wanted. We were about to give a credit card when the call dropped. We arrived to...find that they had put the order through anyway and had it ready and waiting for us!More

Came here 3 years ago for lunch. Things have changed due to Covid - different lines for different orders: one for ice cream only, one for ordering to go, one for phone pick-up, and one for patio dining. Dogs are no longer allowed in the...patio area so we laid out a blanket and sat by the grassy area in the parking lot. Food is consistent and good and priced similarly to neighboring restaurants in Wellfleet.More

Had a delicious seared tuna salad on crisp greens, with delicious peppers and soy vinaigrette! Friendly, fast service. Soft serve ice cream didn’t have much flavor, but the sprinkles were plentiful!

I have been going to PJ’s since I was a child and have always had a good experience and great food. I live on Cape Cod year round and they are seasonal, so it is one of the businesses reopening in the spring that I...look forward to. During the COVID 19 pandemic, I have been very hesitant to eat in a restaurant, so up until today (five months into taking precautions), I had not had a sit down meal in a restaurant. Having driven by, I could see all of the efforts that PJ’s has made with signage and separate lines, so we decided to have dinner on their semi-outdoor patio, which has a lot of air circulation. It was extremely well organized, hand sanitizer on the table where you place your order, tables were spaced far apart, workers were all masked and we saw them clear and sanitize every table as soon as diners left. I felt like they had really thought everything out and planned well, which was a relief. All that being said, the real reason I am prompted to write this review is because of the impressive way they handled something that you could never plan for. After our meal, we left and started driving home. A few minutes into the ride, we heard my son’s ten year old friend say “Oh no....... I forgot my retainer.” He had wrapped it in a napkin while he was eating and left it on the tray. I had visions of what his parents would say when they found out we had lost it on our watch, knowing full well that they cost in the $450 range. We raced back and, in a panic, explained the situation to the young man that had been clearing tables. He was so nice and responsive and immediately dropped what he was doing and sprang into action, donning gloves. We offered to look through the barrels of garbage, but he declined. Now, keep in mind that besides servers, he and one other woman were working the patio and customers were also picking up takeout orders, so I knew how busy he already was and I felt terrible watching him pick through garbage. After some time, he still hadn’t found it and he was clearly needed at the counter, so he asked his coworker if we could look for it. She said yes and he gave us a couple sets of gloves. Right after that, a woman came out who seemed to be a manager or owner and was also so gracious and understanding. Luckily, as soon as we looked in one of the barrels, we recognized what was left of our dinner and we found the retainer within minutes. They even gave us a little plastic bag to put it in after we found it. So, it’s one thing to operate a business well, it’s another thing to operate it well during a pandemic and it’s even more impressive when you are able to go above and beyond for a customer in an unexpected situation. As our little retainer-wearing friend said afterwards, “Well, that was dramatic.”More

Went to PJ’s tonight for dinner. We got clams, a lobster roll meal, and fish tacos. Very fresh. It was great but I thought it was pricey, $75.

We had phone in our order for lunch but didn't know that wasn't the way to do it if we wanted to eat on the deck. The staff was very nice and let us sit and eat any way. We tried a lobster roll, tuna...sashimi - the starter portion which was very generous and delicious and a Greek salad. Good social distancing and food was reasonable. Lobster roll was the lease favorite dish. Tuna sashimi the best.More
