This deli is family run, and it shows. The owner a kick. The three person staffs puts out the best sandwiches in San Diego. It has a marina to gas your boat on one side and a deli on the other. Salads are good, and the sandwiches are among the best in California. Only tie is Dada's Deli in Santa... More

I am a repeat customer here. Love the fresh, delicious, and generously sized chef salad. Hearty sandwiches and tasty deviled eggs, too. Prices are reasonable and service is quick. A must for boaters at Shelter Island.

They fixed sandwiches for us at 8 in the morning that we took with us for lunch while exploring the area. Big sandwiches with lots of meat, we ended up eating half for lunch one day and the other half the next day. Tasty and fresh!

Based on others' review, I dropped in mid-afternoon. Got a great sandwich for the price. Mama the sandwich-maker does a masterful job. I'd go back again!

What a great little deli. We came across this place by accident. It's located on one of the shelter island jetties. Ron's sells freshly made delicious sandwiches and snacks at very reasonable prices. You can sit outside at one of the tables and chairs and watch the world go by. The place seems to be used by all the local... More

Quaint little "hole in the wall". I had a pastrami on sourdough, wife had a roast beef on sourdough. Drinks and a bag of chips. 2 deviled eggs, and a tuna pepper. $23. Nice little quiet table outside over looking a harbor. Its a ma and pa shop that makes you feel good to support. Nothing extraordinary, but you wont... More

I wouldn't have known this was a deli if I hadn't found it on a review site. The local people who work on the boats seem to use it. Not a great deal of choice but the bacon on an English muffin was nice. We sat on a little terrace overlooking the Marina.

I was on Shelter Island for the weekend. I didn't expect the deli to be open on a sunday so I was pleasantly surprised. What a hard-working couple. Ad always the sandwiches were huge & yummy. Grab your picnic lunch here & head for Shelter Island Beach!

I'm not a sandwich person. I'm Asian so I still generally go for noodles and rice for my carb requirements :) but this deli changed they way I look at sandwiches! I read some good reviews about this place prior to our trip and decided to get some sandwiches here for our visit to the zoo and the Safari Park.... More
