What a great place! Not fast food because they make everything to order. Well worth the wait. Ordered a shrimp taco and beer battered scallop taco, awesome! You can enjoy a craft beer while you wait.

I have visited San Diego twice, and Blue Water is always a priority restaurant wise. The food is lovely and fresh while very reasonably priced. Staff are always friendly, and the long que speaks for itself. I have not been disappointed, and will always return here when I next get the chance. The long ques speak for themselves, packed with... We enjoyed this restaurant for lunch. You can choose your fresh fish, sauce, and style of presentation. I had mahi mahi tacos in a bourbon butter sauce. Actually had to pause after the first bite to reflect on how great it was! My husband experienced fresh fried shrimp and homemade clam chowder. Very pleased.

I'm a regular visitor to Blue Water and in my opinion it is probably the best no-frills seafood you can get in all of San Diego. My favorite is the seared ahi plate with the lemon garlic butter that is arrested to perfection every time. The plates are definitely worth the extra cost and you should definitely plan on leaving... You'll probably have to wait in line, and you will want to be there early to get the best selection of fish. We were a bit late so there was no tuna, swordfish, or salmon left but that didn't matter much to us. You wait in line, order, then get a table and wait for your food. The oysters were probably... My wife and I normally spend Christmas in San Diego, and never miss a chance to go to Blue Water. This year, we were actually able to go twice - Yay! For first timers, note that you have to line up to place your order at the counter; when made, they deliver it to the table. The seating is very... More

Okay, so parking sucks! That didn't seem to stop the line waiting for food to go out the door on NY eve. I was there to buy fresh local halibut, and had to wait behind one other shopper. The fish was great, but at $29 a lb, I might look around some.

Saw this restaurant on DDD made it our first stop in San Diego, what a way to start a trip. When we first entered the line was almost out the door, they work it like a cafeteria where you order your food and then sit down. Very efficient, by the time we ordered they had a table ready for us... More

My wife and I really liked this restaurant for Fish Taco's. They have all kinds of tacos made from seafood that were very good. It was worth standing in line for.

Since my husband and I love watching DDD with Guy Fieri, my brother in law and sister in law took us there to eat before left CA. Come with patience to stand in line to order your food. It will take some time, BUT it is well worth the wait. My husband got the cod tacos, I got the lobster... More
