We went to eat and we couldn’t even get a table and half of the restaurant was empty. The hostess was very impolite and said the kitchen had no capability of serving more tables. The place looked dirty.

I have had a ton of sushi in my day. The Blue Smoke Sushi Lounge really captures the essence of Japan. Very good. Cannot wait until my next visit.

The place is very nice, clean and spacious. Very well set up. We tried the specialty rolls ...they are awesome; the mix of flavors is outstanding. Not exaggerating, it is the best sushi I ha had and I have been in many places around the...world. The prices would seem high when you are looking at the menu; but the food is worth every cent. Highly recommend it.More

Went in out of convenience and so lucky we did! Everything was outstanding. The service, the cleanliness, the food, the price, the vegetarian options. Presentation was awesome. I had a traditional salmon teriyaki, perfectly cooked with rice and stir fried vegetables that tasted like fresh...from the garden. My colleague had a combo with sashimi and tempura. The chocolate mochi ice cream with chocolate pieces for dessert was perfect. The rolls others had looked beautiful and were clearly enjoyed. Highly recommend! (Ratings option not working but I give it all “5”)More

I order my lunch here every once in a while because it’s so close to my work, not necessarily for the quality. However, they have recently changed the menu, but have failed to update their online menu. My order is usually $16, but was shocked...when I picked it up and was charged $31! They refused to give me my money back even after I showed them the online price, stating that it was “expired”. Of course there’s no indication of that. The right thing to do would be to honor the price on the online menu, but they chose to lose me as a returning customer instead. So I’m stuck with $31 of below decent quality sushi and a boring iceberg lettuce salad. Will never be giving them a penny again, and will let all my coworkers who also frequent this place for lunch know, as well.More

The food was great! For starter I had some pork gyozas and they were great! For entree I had a sushi cut roll called Padres! This roll had avocado and soft shell crab outside and tempura shrimp, krab and cucumber inside. I loved it.

Referred by Macy’s employee. Not disappointed. Lunch entree more than one person can eat. Personable staff and substitutions ok with no attitude. Great value for the money which was pleasant surprise after overpriced resort meals in Indian Wells Newport Beach and Coronado. Wish they had...restaurants on east coastMore

We wanted to eat healthy on vacation and since we have been shopping all morning wanted somewhere quiet and where we can relax over lunch. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food freshly prepared and delicious. Quite affordable too. Recommend this place.

Assume it was empty due to it being Monday night but was happy the service was so attentive and fast. Within seconds of sitting at bar, the chef was making my roll! Had the Mexicali—very good albeit wonky to eat due to crab on top....Also had crispy Brussels sprouts—excellent. Had the check and was put in decent time. Definitely would go back, hopefully with a friend to try more rolls. 10 slices was too much for one sitting so chef kindly packaged it to go so they wouldn’t tip over and fall apart.More

We stopped for lunch while at Fashion Valley. The menu is interesting, but the execution of the sushi is only average. The owners are nice enough, but the food and service need attention.
