Great local pub in an otherwise Asian strip mall. Good, budget prices on big burgers and sandwiches and lots of interesting craft brews. Sometimes on Sundays and Mondays they have fish and chips and chipotle fish tortas. A popular spot to watch soccer. The only negatives are parking and they close at 6pm on Sundays.

This place is a VERY good beer pub in America's beer capital - San Diego. They have a fantastic tap selection and a robust kitchen. The garlic fries are excellent and the burgers well made. Standard pub grub is available. A great choice for a bit if you are brewery hopping in the Convoy Street area, on the way back... More

Terrible parking but great food/drinks here. You order your drinks and food from one cashier. I think you can keep the tab open or close it out. If you order food, they bring it out to you once it’s made. Make sure you order the beer battered onion rings WITH garlic and parm! It's not on the menu but it's... More

The taps rotate so call ahead or just be surprised when you get there. The website can keep you updated on events and they serve the best Corned beef and swiss on the mesa.

Not real big but a real bar with comfy chairs, good beer on tap and that inescapable smell of spilt beer. We were killing some time so this place was recommended as having good food. In a strip mall with parking issues this neighborhood spot was as advertised. The patty melt was nice a juicy with fries. It was the... More

**Cough** **Cough** **Cough** O'Brien's is the only craft beer bar within at least a 5 mile radius, has all the soccer games, a great craft beer selection with reasonable prices, and Friendly bartenders, except one gal who seemed cranky that day. **Cough** **Cough** **Cough** **Hack!** Over half the clientele are older, pot-bellied men with no hair, or bad hair; if... In a city where craft beer rules, the way to distinguish yourself as a craft beer bar is your service. This bar came up short. There was only one single server for lunch time, the bartender, so if you wanted food, you had to line up at one end of the bar and place an order, then go back up... More

Stopped by a few times for a beer and dinner while staying in the area. If you love craft beers, this is the place for you. San Diego's craft beer scene is notorious and O'Brien's has a full array of all the great local favorites from Monkey Paw to Ballast Point. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. They know beer... More

All of my reviews are "5-Star" because simply because there's little time to write up anything less. . . O'Brien's is tucked away in a strip mall in the Kearny Mesa area, and parking can be problematic at peak hours. Still, this is the place to go if you're looking for a proper beer-focused pub that's not overrun with hipsters... More

For a pub, the food is pretty amazing. BBC saladand a brewers plate. Good beer always. Tuesday night is the time to be here. Local place. Leave the beach and come to where the food and drink is golden. Plus number one place to watch America's soccer teams
