I've been to this charming coffee house many times over the last few years, usually when I've stayed at the nearby Manchester Grand Hyatt. Great coffee, good breakfast, lovely patio along side the San Diego MTS light rail line. There was live music the Saturday morning we were there (terrific guitarist and signer, Bruce.) Relaxing and pleasant - a delight.

Found Brickyard on Trip Advisor and gave it a try. We won't be back because the service was soooooooooooooooooo slow (waited 25 minutes for oatmeal and a veggie egg bake.) Food was good but my eggs were not warm enough. Nice wait staff but wish they had said the wait would be long because we would have gone elsewhere.

On my way to the Manchester Grand Hyatt in the morning for a conference I found this place. I was early for the conference, hungry, and out of coffee in my hotel room. The coffee was fantastic, as was the granola and yogurt I ended up ordering for breakfast. The building itself is adorable with a nice patio. There was... More

small kind of 'hole in the wall' restaurants. independantly owned, small staff but very friendly. great outdoor seating on the patio, and right across the street from Sea Port village, so you will get the cool breeze from time to time :)

Found this through an engine search as wanted breakfast prior to our visit to the USS Midway. Had seen the mixed reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. Had to wait a short time for my cappuccino to arrive, but breakfast arrived promptly. I had the oatmeal, which arrived with fruit, brown sugar, dried fruit and milk, and was excellent. My husband... Dropped in for a quick coffee before a morning run. Service was slow for two esspresso drinks any barrista could make while the order is being rung up. Asked to go take a seat when no one was there. Drinks delivered were below average in taste.

Had lunch and breakfast in this funky place .both were excellent , service was fast effective and friendly , good cost effective options and portions are a good size only open from 6am- 2pm . A nice place close to everything but a little less commercialized than the other eating places

I really like brickyard it is such a cute little spot right next to the trolley station. Very convenient when you need a quick bagel with cream cheese or even a sit in for some lunch. I would get the veggie wrap with chicken because I definitely love the protein. There are cucumbers veggies and hummus in the spinach tortilla... More

We met friends here for lunch while we (my wife and granddaughter) travelled around Southern California. We each enjoyed tasty, fresh and healthy lunch food, but the big surprise for me was the very excellent espresso. Finding decent coffee in America can be difficult. I enjoyed the coffee so much I had a second one and it was just as... More
