Love this place. It's around the corner from my moms house and have been going here for years. The food is consistently good. The portion sizes have shrunk a little since I first starting coming here in 2005... Fish tacos are delicious. Although my favorite has to be the Aloha Burrito! Sweet and savory oh it's the best.

We were looking for local and different. El Zarape hit the mark. Unlike the chain burrito joints Qdoba or Chipotle the choices are immense. The facility is a little worn down but who cares? The food is great. It usually works that way. It is located in University Heights, a short drive from the airport or downtown. The prices are... More

Food was really good. Street parking was tough guy eventually we found a spot. Restaurant is small inside so seating was limited. Burrito, and fish tacos were really tasty.

Although small and usually jam packed, the burritos here are amazing! the california burrito has the best seasoned french fries I've ever had in a cali burrito (and trust me I've had plenty). You can't beat $1 fish tacos and their rolled tacos (potato, beef, or chicken) are all amazing. I usually order mine without the frills (no cheese or... More

I loved the calamari burrito. I will go back there in my next visit. Recommended by a Mexican friend! Must try if looking for real deal.

They have very tasty burritos. I come to San Diego just to eat here. Decently priced, must park on road, didn't notice any other parking, but it's well worth it!

Exellent food & service. Wonderful eclectic ambiance enhences the experience - not hard to imagine you are in fine restaurant somewhere in Mexico. I am reviewing the El Zerape at 3201 Adams Ave in trendy Normal Heights. The system would not let me add it.

I've never had a four star taco before. I was a skeptic. But after tasting the shrimp ( very generous - 4 or 5 per taco ) and the scallop ( 4 or 5 per taco ) and the lobster ( 4 or 5 generous fresh pieces ) I'm a believer The key is fresh ingredients and five star service.... More
