My wife and I ordered a Rueben to share because it was a late lunch. It was great! Everything cooked on their flat grill warmed to perfection. The rye bread was fresh and the sauerkraut tangy. I came back the next day at lunch to...have another. Just as great!More

I ordered two sandwiches, one roast beef, with extra beef and the other chicken salad. The lady taking ther order was very nice, but messed up my bread selection. No big deal, but their white bread was pretty bad. My wife found the chicken salad...dry and almost tasteless. My roast beef was reasonably rare, but had a funky taste. At $7.99 a sandwich I guess I got what I paid for.More

Hidden away at the back of a little convenience store is a wonderful deli. BIG sandwiches made fresh with the freshest ingredients and delicious bread. I bought six different ones for a business meeting. We all loved them. I had the “Gaslamp” which was superb.

Hub market & deli was near where I was staying in downtown SD. They have all of the regular convenience items, plus liquor at good prices, plus some tasty "home" style fresh meals to take home and heat up. Loved the meatballs!

I needed to grab a quick lunch in Downtown San Diego near the Gaslamp area and stopped in on a whim. The deli is simple and the folks behind the front counter and the folks who prepared my sandwich were super friendly and helpful. The...sandwich, a bbq beef, was fantastic!More

This small deli is deceiving from the street. They have a small kitchen in the back of the store, and make from scratch breakfast burritos with eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and cheese! It was hot and delicious! I'll definitely be back!!!

This market was very close to our hotel, Andaz, within walking distance. It was great for just a simple purchase of chips and soda to get us by. We also needed some allergy medication and they had what we needed. We also wanted to purchase...a bottle of liquor for our room, to avoid the high priced hotel liquor fee and they had so many options, including Ciroc! Thank you for having this small deli/market open and available!More

I arrived one evening after three flights from the east coast and was in the mood for a sandwich not from a chain restaurant. At the recommendation of a staff member at the hotel where I was staying, I walked to this deli. The front...of the store definitely has a bodega feel as the deli is located in the back of the store. There were several options. I ordered the Bonkers Supreme with honey mustard sauce and it was a REALLY GOOD sandwich! I enjoyed it so much that I knew I was going to purchase a sandwich for my journey back to the east coast. I purchased On Sixth for the journey back home and that was good as well. I think the quality and price ($7.99) of the sandwiches are really good and feel like if I were in that area often, then I would be a regular customer. Both times I went, it was the same gentleman making the sandwiches and he confirmed that I wanted all the listed ingredients on my sandwich and made recommendations based upon my questions. If you like sandwiches and are in this area, then it is a definite must stop.More

This is a great downtown deli and small market. Had one of many sandwiches from the deli and they did not hold back. So many choices for breakfast and lunch and at very reasonable prices. The market offers many drinks and snacks. Good choice.

Though the staff of my hotel didn't point me here they smiled when I told them I'd found this place. Nice selection of sandwiches and such. Up front there is a wide selection of soft drinks and the wine and liquor store is well stocked.

If you didn't know what you were looking for, you would walk right by this deli. It is in the very back of a convenience store in downtown San Diego. Ordered my Aztec sandwich, got my chips and drink and sat at the bar and...watched the world go by. the sandwich was excellent. The ladies in the back even came up and asked to make sure everything was made correctly. I said it was excellent. This is a great place if you are in downtown San Diego and are looking for a great place to get a sub.More

The sandwiches were great! Too bad they got my order mixed up but it was still good. Decent wine prices to take back to your room and really cheap corkscrews if you forgot to pack one.

Back of the store has a deli counter for self-catering and it has a very small lunch counter with 4 seats out front too. Both times I went, I got a seat. Light sandwiches, heavy sandwiches, cold or warm, its a nice break from overpriced...food.More
