If you are willing to wait in a lineup and if you don't mind a crowded room, this is a great place! Worth the wait for sure. Service is awesome and food is even better!

My husband and I were on vacation in La Jolla, and this restaurant was recommended. We heard that after 9am means you'll be waiting a while, so we got up early and was there by about 8:30. We only waited for about 5 minutes (but make sure you whole party is there to be seated). I ordered the blueberry pancakes,... More

The servers and waitress were beyond friendly from the moment we walked in. Great service. The atmosphere was airy with a fancy feel to it. My daughter-in-law and I lived our Eggs Benedict and my son loved his huge German pancake rolled up with lemon, butter, powdered sugar and topped with syrup. Great La Jolla place! Check it out!

Richard Walker's Pancake house is a short three blocks from the San Diego Convention Center. They are open from 6:30 AM until 2:30 PM. If you arrive after 8 AM be prepared to stand in line. It is worth the wait. What a great breakfast, fast friendly service and plenty to eat.

A small but well run breakfast eatery to easily move people in. As people are in line they give you menus you know exactly what you want when you are seated. The meals are huge and yummy, some a little different and fun to sample from your partners plate.

We are used to the Richard Walker's locations in the Chicago area, so it was a pleasant surprise to find one in San Diego. The food was fantastic as always, and energized us for hiking at Torrey Pines State Reserve!

Family members in San Diego let us know that we could expect long lines for this very cozy (i.e., small) pancake house, and our line was in fact moderately long and slow to get inside. The staff did make real efforts to seat all of our six-person group together, which was a challenge given the steady stream of customers. The... More

Delicious, yummy, fabulous pancakes and crepes. Patio dining with a friendly atmosphere for couples and families. Looking for a restaurant near the Bayfront area serving later breakfast, I found Richard Walker’s. This restaurant is known for its famous pancakes, but its raspberry crepe was a show stopper. Too beautiful to eat, still I indulged and the fresh raspberry crepe (in... More

My kids (age 7 and 9) and I went here last week and we LOVED it!! It is a traditional breakfast place - lots of delicious food, nice atmosphere (normal, nothing fancy or hip), quick service. There was a line when we went at 9:15am, but it went very quickly and we were seated within 10 minutes. We ordered 3... More
