Very busy and a wait to get in, but gave us time to have a look at the area. Table was ready when they said it would be and service great. Food portions excellent and atmosphere very good. I'll go back next trip

We went here to celebrate a 20th birthday, The wait is about 45 mins for seating. While you wait you can get margueritas and listen to live music played at the Fiesta de Reyes. The food was so delicious especially the sizzling fajitas. Service from our waitress Karimi was excellent. Very happy we chose this particular restaurant!

Cool place to eat in Old Town. The wait is awfully long. If you plan on eating here, put your name down first and then explore Old Town. If you can sit outside to enjoy the music and the vibe of the place. I tried the El Gran Fuego Burrito. It was okay. Nothing different from any other Mexican restaurant... More

This restaurant is in a spot that we've been going to for over 30 years. We used to live in San Diego and now are frequent visitors and have seen this close and reopen at least once during those 30 years. We love the outdoor atmosphere and liveliness, including entertainment, that is often found at Casa De Reyes. Unfortunately, I... More

Great atmosphere, good food, nice entertainment. Worth a visit if you have the time and are willing to wait a while both to be seated and for your food during busy times. The food and atmosphere make it worth the wait.

This food was good, but it's the atmosphere that makes it great. There was entertainment (singers), lovely sunshine, and lots of people to watch. My carnitas taco was amazing, but the fish taco was blah. Everything else was okay. The margarita... fabulous, but how hard is that to do? The service was mediocre (nonexistent once we got our food). Despite... More

I visited Casa De Reyes with a couple of coworkers while we were on a business trip to the San Diego area. This was our one night out, and we were looking forward to a wonderful, relaxing evening. Old Town did not disappoint, but Casa De Reyes was a let-down. None of us thought the food was great, but I... More

Had the family down to Old Town in San Diego and we dicided to eat at the Casa De Reyes. The place was full but the wait minimal and the food was good, and not too expensive.

My wife ate here many years ago so it was on her list to re-visit. Food was great. Chicken burrito had so much chicken I only ate lunch that day. Authentic music and traditional clothing for wait staff made it that much more fun. We had a 45 minute wait but you can wander the shops as they'll text you.... More

If you like to have an authentic Mexican cuisine I would recommend it. They have a great ambience and amazing drinks. I went for long weekend with friends and had a good time.

Description
Casa de Reyes offers awarding winning, world-class Mexican comfort food! Located within Old Town San Diego State Historic Park, you’ll enjoy traditional Mexican dining in a lush garden courtyard. There’s also free live entertainment, strolling mariachis, folklórico dancing, year-round events, and more! Casa de Reyes is located on the site of an adobe home built in 1823, one of the first adobe homes in San Diego. Our restaurant is named in honor of one of the home’s first owners, Doña Maria de los Reyes Ybañez de Dominguez. Doña Maria made her small, humble adobe a comfortable and welcoming home for friends and guests, and so do we.
