If you like breakfast, and a lot of it, Perry's is the place to go. You may have a little wait, but well worth it. Really good food and lots of it. The portions are huge and filling. A great place to start the day and then walk over to the Old Town State Park.

if your are looking for Diner type food, this is the place. Great service, coffee as soon as you sit down. Large menu and all the items are delicious. At least half the price of big hotel breakfast and more tasty. we ate breakfast here everyday before doing the tourist thing the rest of the day.

past years when we visited we started our day with breakfast at Perry's (staying just down the street at Old Town Inn)... we just tried it last week .... maybe it was an off day ... but my food was simply awful ... the home fries were burned .... the hash was okay ..... still good service .... but probably... Great breakfast place. Everything came out piping hot, portions are huge, wait staff great and don't get me started on their homemade biscuits!!!! They serve breakfast till 2pm. The ham and eggs omelette had more ham than eggs!!! The frittata was perfectly made and chock full of toppings - sausage, cheese, veggies!! The biscuit is bigger than your head (I... More

If you are looking for ambiance, this isn't it. What it is - an old school place with simple atmosphere and terrific food at reasonable price. Known widely for its breakfasts, you will get plenty to eat to carry you through the day. Chicken fried steak and eggs; waffles and eggs; biscuits and gravy; chorizo and eggs; machaka; and the... We were recently in San Diego for several days. We wanted to find a great place for breakfast to start us off before touring the San Diego sights. We found just what we wanted in Perry's Cafe. Conveniently located near the Old Town area, close to the Mission Bay area where we were staying, Perry's was the best. We ended... More

This place is a fantastic stop for breakfast, the portions are huge and the staff is very attentive and friendly. I tried the corn beef hash and had biscuits with gravy. They were the most buttery and flaky biscuits ever and were perfectly done. My friend had the French toast and they certainly don't skimp on the whipped cream.

If you are looking for a tasty breakfast with great diner service in a setting right out of 1965 this is the place for you. Out time diner deliciousness. The spinach frittatas are excellent and when you ask for crispy hahbrowns, you get them crispy! The option for a blueberry or bran muffin instead of toast is also nice and... More

What a great place to go for breakfast! They are a classic dinner with a little Mexican flair. They have friendly staff and large portions. Instead of taking a half hour wait for a table, we opted for counter service. We bellied right up to the counter and were able to order immediately. I had the Mexican Frittata (They specialize... We have been looking for a local place that serves biscuits and gravy. We have passed Perry's many times. So recently we stopped in for breakfast. Our meal left us with mixed results. My waffles were good but the hubby's biscuits and gravy were, in his opinion, 'not even par'. Since this was our "location test" I will leave the... More
