This place is the best dining experience of the Mexican kind. I love the decor, friendly and prompt service, and drinks. The food is great and portions large. If you visit San Diego, with its wealth of Mexican restaurants, you need to enjoy The Casa, as you will remember the high quality of the experience.

High quality food, excellent friendly service and a beautiful setting. This restaurant wil make you forget all of the other Mexican restaurants you have visited. The Pumpkin Mole sauce is awesome! Don't miss the fresh, warm home-made tortillas.

A fun place to go and get the real Mexican experience. Busy and bustling. Great food, helpful informative service with a sense of humour. Every type of margarita you could wish for. Interesting little bazaar next door. Food is plentiful we just couldn't eat it all.

The food here, as recommended by our hotel, was excellent and very reasonably priced for a touristy area. Also the margaritas were very good. We went after we arrived for a quick margarita and guacamole as a "light lunch" and it was so good went back for dinner 2 nights later.

I had a craving for old-fashioned, authentic Mexican cuisine and this place really fit the bill. The tortilla chips are fresh and crisp and the salsa is tasty and not too hot. I had the grilled fish tacos which were excellent and so large I could barely finish them. We sat on the patio under shady trees, and it was... More

To say that parking is a bear is an understatement - but if you can't find a spot, don't pay the $5/hr. Continue up Juan Street to the lot where Juan intersects w/ Twiggs St. It's not a long or difficult walk and the lot is free. Once parked, if you enter the restaurant from the back (by the parking... Just a few steps outside of Old Town. A large parking lot. Get there before 5:30 for dinner or you will be waiting. And the restaurant is large both with inside seating and a large outside courtyard completely covered by a huge tree. A fun waiter made the evening and the food was good. I had the Thursday night special... More

I am kind of a picky eater, so I researched some Mexican restaurants before our trip to San Diego. I was looking for a Mexican restaurant with a fun ethnic flair to it. I love a lot of the Mexican decor, Spanish style architecture and bright colors. We came in here after getting a completely unwarranted $125 parking ticket at... More

Loved the food here - we ordered chicken fajitas - the chicken was spiced so beautifully. I loved it! The one strange thing - I have never had fajitas anywhere else that didn't serve it with sour cream - I mentioned this to the waiter and he said "You want sour cream?" like it was a weird request! Anyway, he... More
