I live in Tucson and this is now my favorite Mexican restaurant. Need I say more? You gotta go. Oh, and be sure to act stupid (natural for me) and you will get a mini-cup of every taste on the menu!

Delicious food! This is authentic and definitely a hole in the wall kind of place. You'll be able to take in the street life while you eat as this is located in a hip, up and coming area of San Diego.

This is a real Mexican restaurant, Sunday dinner food. If your just want something in a tortilla, they have that too. I had the goat stew, similar to Birria. There's a Taco stand on every corner in San Diego, go there if you want to keep it simple. Super Cocina has moms and grandma's cooking there own old family recipes.... More

This place was recommended by a local while we were holidaying in San Diego. We were new to authentic Mexican food and the guy behind the counter offered us a taste of several dishes before we ordered. The food was the fantastic and surprisingly cheap. Great service despite the somewhat basic surroundings.

I went to Super Cocina for the first time today. I gotta Tijuana often so I was very skeptical that would find good Mexican food. I ordered the large birria with a Pacifico beer. The aviance is nothing fancy and in fact the birria came in a plastic Bowl. I was ready to write this place off until I tasted... More

All the best regional dishes. Moles, Chiles Rellenos, Barbacoa. Delicious menu and you can try all the dishes before you order which makes it super convenient. You won't get burned by some unexpected hot sauce lol. Great service and good prices they also serve local brews which is awesome!!! I heard their catering is really great too!

This is unlike any other Mexican restaurant you will visit. I went here years ago when it opened. A friend who I had not seen in many years suggested we go here to re-meet. It is ONE OF A KIND. The owner, from what I was told by my friend who goes there a lot (and hired them to cater... More

A great place for mexican comfort food. They are cafeteria style set up where you pick from the many different dishes behind the line. They do a lot of stews green, red, and also have mole. The selection is huge and they will let you sample the different stews to help you make up your mind. They also have soups... More

This is the real deal; not for TexMex lovers. It's like crossing the border but in SD. REALLY CHEAP. They allow you to try the sauces before ordering. Not a fancy place but worth trying it if you are adventurous enough.

If you are looking for super good and afford Mexican food, this is the place for you. Don't expect a fancy restaurant or ambience, this place is a hole in the wall place that offers amazing food. Try their chicken molé or the carnitas, you won't regret!!
