Came here with my husband and two teenage boys. Although it is expensive, the amount of quality food and variety makes it seem worthwhile. My boys loved all the different meats. We got to eat outside, which was an added bonus!

Ate here with a group of 20. Excellent service and the food was very good. Was there on a Tuesday night and it was packed, so I would recommend making reservations. Obviously not a place for vegans, and go hungry.

The meat carver came to our table and presented the food selection very well. He and my boyfriend seem to get on well. They spoke Portuguese about the restaurant and the work itself (my boyfriend happens to be a meat carver at a Brazilian Steakhouse too)... He was kind enough to also give us some tips on which beaches to... More

Well, the positives would be that the location was great! It was walking distance from the Gaslamp Hilton hotel. The ambiance inside was very nice. Half of the restaurant was booked for our function. The bar was fantastic! My husband loved the long island iced teas there and I heard people raving about other mixed drinks as well. The salad... More

We went to celebrate my Birthday with my wife and 3 children . 2 boys aged 18 and 16 and my daughter 10. The food was fantastic, the best Brazillian we have ever tasted and the service was excellent. The owners are very attentive and gave great service. We ate on the patio area. Anyone visiting downtown San Diego should... More

This was the first Brazilian steakhouse I've ever been to and one that I compare all the others to. My favorite for San Diego and many good memories eating here. Staff was always friendly and professional, food tasted great and location was good (downtown San Diego). Will eat here every time I go to San Diego!

Really a nice restaurant with good buffet and nice meat like churrasco. I suggest to start with the best meat and refuse the fat one like sausage etc... If you like the chichen heart, you need to ask for them Really a funny place

Really enjoyed this traditional Brazilian steakhouse. We stopped by for lunch. They had a really good musician playing which I didn't expect. He struck just the right tone - excellent voice, upbeat but not overbearing or too loud. As is usually the case in the place like this, the food was tasty and flowed freely. If you're especially hungry, this... More

We are fans for Brazilian BBQ and would highly recommend this place. While we've not been to the Fogo location not too far down the street, I can say Rei Do Gado is better than other Fogo's I've been to in the US in terms of taste and selections. In some ways I think meats taste better than our previous... More

If they have room, dine al fresco. The evenings in San Diego are beautiful. We had dinner here in January, and the patio was lovely. The BBQ was delicious, and the service was quick and attentive. Try their caipirinhas. They are delicious and authentic. If you want to take up space with the salad bar, they have plenty to choose... More
