To be fair I came during the pandemic so the menu was quite limited but it was happy hour. I had hoped for beef boxty or a corned beef sandwich or even the Irish bread pudding, but had to just choose from the shortened menu....From the Appetizers & beer which was half price I choose the Scotch Eggs and the Mac & Cheese Bites, both came with good dipping sauces. The Harp beer was out so had Blonde Guinness instead. I got into the outside seating inside the railing rather than the tables which now sit more out on the sidewalk and street area. It was a good people watching spot but sometimes the people walking by weren't the best to be watching. Cassandra was so attentive and did everything she could do to make it good. I did get to pop inside to look at all the beautiful wood that makes this such an authentic Irish Pub that lives up to it's name. Maybe when "normal" comes back I will give this place another try.More

It was the night before St. Patrick's Day and we all knew the pubs would be a closin. So me and four friends snick in around 7 p.m. we all ordered drinks I had a perfectly pour Guinness and ordered the Shepard's pie. The service...was a little slow for my taste but the drinks were excellent as I followed my beer with a car bomb. The food was good but a little slow in the preparin. Good Atmosphere authenticMore

We ate here on day 1 of our SD trip. It was loud, but fun. Service was really good as was the service. I had the Molly Trio which includes black pudding (good if you don't this about it, a sausage and a small shepherd's...pie. All very good! Reasonably priced.More

My son requests this restaurant when we are downtown, but I think that is over. The menu is shorter and simpler. My son's burger was barely cooked, so the meat was raw inside the burger. He did not feel well on the way home. The...Irish nachos used to be unique, but now they are just fries with nacho sauce. It would be a fun place to drink a beer at the bar and watch sports, but don't go for the food.More

Great service and outstanding food. Had the wings and couple of pints of Guinness Blonde, Server was thoughtful and on point, wings were far better than I expected, and the beer was cold! What's not to like

I previously wrote a review of this Pub when it was Dublin Square, It changed hands and became the Dubliner and with it they lost some of its authenticity. Being from Ireland, I expect a true Irish pub to have Authentic Irish dishes on the...menu. The only Item I would really classify as Authentic here was the Shepherd's Pie. The fish in the Fish & Chips was breaded rather than beer battered. I do have to give them credit for good food and great service, I just expected some of the old items like Boxty's on the menu. The atmosphere here is still authentic, but I would classify it more a Sports Bar than an Irish Pub now.More

The Dubliner is like your family neighborhood bar where you can hang and watch the game. Everyone was nice and enjoyed finding out where you were from. Recomemed a visit if your in the Gaslamp District and want to relaz without any pressure. Next time...I am in SD, I will be back.More

It was very crowded and loud when were got there, must have been the happy hour, after work bunch. We were all happy with what we ordered, hamburger, cottage pie, fish and chips. Good service and food quality.

Stopped in to have lunch with my fellow workers and at first I liked the atmosphere, It gave the feeling of an Irish Pub. They had indoor and outdoors seating and the greeter was very friendly ( maybe because the day was early ). I...checked out the menu and it had pretty much all your favorite Irish dishes. I ordered the Shepherd's pie and the brown bread. Never had that kind of brown bread and it was very good. The Shepherd's pie was not bad either. Parking is always bad downtown but I would say it was well worth the effort. Highly recommended.More
