Wanted to sit down and have a few drinks and a light meal while at Balboa Park. Waiter was friendly and the patio was cool and breezy on a very hot day. Food was fresh and flavourful.

My husband and I setup a 7:00 reservation. We went early and viewed the sites of Balboa Park first. The patio atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. I truly enjoyed the experience. The food was hit and miss but the service was stellar. Cannot wait to return!

We went to The Prado when we interrupted our Hop-on Hop-off trolley city tour at Balboa Park. I really enjoyed the paella, which was very tasty and full of all the different kinds of seafood one would expect. The staff was very nice and helpful. We have been to this restaurant before and have never been disappointed.

Food and service were wonderful. A great place to sit and relax during a busy day of hitting them many museums and other sites in Balboa Park.

A little pricy but food was good and worth the experience. We enjoyed a table outside by the fountain.

Very busy on a blue sky/cruise ship in town Friday at Balboa Park. Guess I hit it just right as I was seated immediately. Presented with colorful plate to assemble my mahi taco. Mango avocado red cabbage. Added a tasty crisp Spanish white. Nice lavosh and spread to start. $30 lunch in a special location.

We stopped for lunch after seeing the museum of man and California tower tour. Very nice place but a little on the high side of prices for lunch. Service was excellent as the food. I had a chicken Cobb salad and my wife a reuben sandwich. Both were plenty of food for us.

Great evening with my better half. The place is rustic and vintage Italian with glass and wood decorations. You can sit inside or in the outside balcony. A great view of the park. Balboa park spaniard architecture create the adventurer mood into this fine dining American Italian, with a Mexican and Spaniard cuisine mix. Live guitar music on Saturday. The... More

This is my second visit to the Prado, which is one of the better, seated, options for dining within Balboa Park. We arrived at about 1pm, midweek, and were given a beeper with a wait time of 10 minutes. We were seated within that time, indoors, at a booth which was a good site for us. Flatbreads and hummus were... More

We just needed lunch to tide us over until dinner time. Barry only had a wedge salad which he gobbled up and I had a very good burger. It's not cheap and my GoCard 5 day pass didn't say what it is good for - just turn in to waiter - he said we had to spend $40 to get... More
