First off, everything you read about the amazing views are spot on. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!!!! We listened to our phenomenal waiter, Corey on what dishes he felt they do best. We had the Little Gem salad and lobster bisque to start. The dressing on the salad was incredible. The bisque was perfection. Then we had the lobster tail. It ranks... More

We live in La Jolla and have not eaten at the Marine Room for a very long time. With visiting family and beautiful weather, this seemed like a good time to dine on the beach again. Two of us ordered the chicken, and the others had the halibut and salmon dishes. The chicken was completely unmemorable but the fish dishes... More

I was referred to the Marine Room by a friend. He told me he and his wife visit the restaurant as much as they can when they are down in La Jolla. When my new Bride and I arrived it didn't look like much from the front. However as soon as we walked in the environment truly took our breath... More

That was very strange experience. Living in La Jolla for 10 years I have been dining in almost all restaurants in the area. Marine Room was one of the last one I visited yesterday (07/15/16). Unfortunately, I can tell you nothing good about this place, but view. Low ceiling, fade wall colors, and mediocre service. For our party of five... More

The Marine Room is an old established restaurant right on the beach in La Jolla, California. At times the water comes right up to the windows and the waves splash on the glass. We were there for dinner and ordered the Caesar salad prepared at the table and a filet mignon and a salmon dinner. The plates are very well... More

Great views and delicious food! The place is beautiful and the food is really yummy ! But the hostesses :argh! They look so unhappy and not friendly. Most of people want the tables by the window , of course and the hostesses are not interested in accommodating people for their likes . I noticed a few of them rushing people... More

Recommended by hotel concierge and lived up to the experience expected. The restaurant faces the beach and our dinner was at sunset. Lovely. The food was great. We had swordfish and lobster. The presentation was good. The service was very professional. This was my husband's birthday and having a window table added to the experience.

My wife wanted to eat somewhere on the beach, and on the recommendation of a cousin and her boyfriend, we went to the Marine Room. It's literally on the beach - indeed, at high tide, the water sometimes laps against the windows. The atmosphere is lively, and the service is terrific. Our waitress was funny and attentive, and made us... More

We went here for our daughter's High School Graduation and 18th Birthday. It's very pricey, but also very special. I've been here before and the service is excellent, except our server knew one of us had a nut allergy and forgot to mention there were nuts in the celebration free dessert. Fortunately the part with the nuts wasn't eaten. The... More

We had a lovely dinner at the Marine Room last night. A friend had recommended this destination and our concierge at the Torrey Pines Lodge was able to make a reservation. I am not sure if she reserved a seat by the window but we had one of the best seats in the house right next to the window, watching... More
