Wow! Really fantastic service in this tucked away point loma Italian restaurant! I love it when the server thinks of everything before I do! I was treated respectfully, in a friendly, cozy, warm atmosphere filled with families and locals. The bread-which I normally skip, was phenomenal, baked perfectly! The ravioli was good, but the house made tirimisu was seriously amazing!... More

The parking was tough but the restaurant was beautiful. The service was excellent. The food was good - we both enjoyed our meals.

Came here on Friday for date night with my boyfriend. I had the calamari piccata & he had the clam & scallop linguine with cream sauce. First the service was GREAT! Some of the best service I had in SD. I forget our servers name but she was a cute little blonde girl who was wonderful. And it was impressive... More

We lived nearby during surgical residency 2o years ago, and brought our pre-teens to this restaurant regularly for a night out. Our kids learned restaurant manners here... We loved the friendly service, reasonable family-friendly prices, and neighborhood atmosphere. We returned last week and made a point to return for dinner. While there have been some very appropriate and expansive renovations,... More

We were looking for a nice casual restaurant in San Diego to have dinner with our son and we found it. It is located in an unassuming strip center in Point Loma. Once inside, you will be pleased with the decor, food and service. The service was excellent, food was served timely and the prices are fair. You will get... More

The service was excellent! We ordered pizza and lasagna, and it was delicious. Next time we will order sea food pasta, because the comments on this dish were excellent. Clean and cozy place, good music, nice lights etc. What we liked most was the customer care and of course the food.

In short, the greatest Italian restaurant I have EVER been to. If you are looking for a great authentic meal made from love, this is the place for you. With great staff, atmosphere, and prices, this restaurant is a must go. Leave room after your meal for the best Tiramisu you'll ever eat.

Easily booked reservations online. Food excellent service as well. Meal was a little hurried and there was no need to - lots of empty tables. Seafood with pasta fabulous. Eggplant parm was average. Drinks excellent.

Description
The Venetian’s award-winning Italian cuisine (including what critics call some of San Diego’s best pizza), relaxed setting and casual atmosphere have earned generations of fans since Vince Giacalone first welcomed customers in 1965. Sons Joey and Frank proudly continue their family traditions, making sausage, soups and sauces from scratch and drawing a devoted, all-ages clientele. Highlights of the menu include bruschetta, seafood pastas, chicken and veal piccata, and thick- or thin-crust pizzas with either traditional or trendy toppings. Located in Point Loma, The Venetian’s friendly service and “Cheers” style vibe make it a favorite destination for date night, happy hour, dinner with friends or family celebrations. Seating includes the lively bar and patio (great for families and larger parties); comfy booths and banquettes; and a private wine cellar that can be reserved for parties of up to 16. Dinner nightly; lunch Monday-Friday; Sunday brunch; full bar.
