So good, I went 2 days in a row. Mitch's is a small establishment along the water's edge, so get there either early or post the lunch rush if you want a seat. The fish is prepared very well, salsa is good, but could use a little spice/kick. When in Point Loma area, Mitch's is the place for lunch.

We had the grilled octopus salad, smoked fish tostada and clam chowder. All nice, especially the tender octopus. We canceled an item because we over-ordered and was able to do so as the order was still being processed in the kitchen. Very nice of them to do so. Definitely great service.

This place is the real deal! Mitch's is an institution, it is fair to say that Mitch's is so good that they get just as much business from actual commercial fisherman (whom know seafood because it is what they do) and locals as they do from tourists whom come to the this great part of San Diego! Great staff, very... More

Very casual place serves tasty seafood. You read the menu on wall when you enter, order and pay at cash register and they bring it to your table. We had 3 varieties of very good seafood tacos on Taco Tuesday (each $3) and an order of ceviche. All were very good. Seating inside or outside facing harbor.

We had a short wait as the line was just to the door when we arrived. Since we ate about 7:30pm there were some of the selections of the day that had been sold out. Two of us had fish sanwiches - one tuna and one mahi mahi. The sandwiches were really good, as was the cole slaw that came... More

The service and food were very good. Love the clam chowder. It is in a good location. The area is very nice , near the harbor. Prices were reasonable. Relaxing atmosphere.

It was more by fluke that we ended up here as it was the closest place to the motel we stayed at. Barely any signage for it, we would never had seen it if we hadn't looked it up beforehand. There was a queue when we arrived which passed fairly quickly, also it's a bit of a bunfight to get... More

Was not expecting to have best clam chowder ever! A little hard to find behind Point Loma sport fishing, but so worth it!

Simple, no frills seafood at its best. A prime selection, well rounded menu and micro brews to boot. Oh and they offer an amazing alcoholic Kombucha if beer isn't your thing. If you are especially hungry, start with a cup Of clam chowder to hold you over. You won't be disappointed. Epic crab cakes. Amazing scenery and one hell of... More

Enjoyed fish tacos while overlooking the fishing charter boats. Added a local brew for good measure. Check the blackboard for the fresh fish. Staff will know which is freshest.
