Four of us went for supper. Our gps kept telling us the place was here but we could not find it in the dark. We stopped three men in the parking lot and they too were wondering around trying to find this place. Finally we stopped at a bait/fishing store only to find the restaurant was immediately behind them! Then... More

We wanted fresh fish and read good reviews, but we were very disappointed. Both ordered the "fresh" halibut salad. After 20+ years in Alaska, I know fresh halibut! The fish was grilled so hard, it was actually tough and chewy. And as for "fresh"--well, maybe several days ago.... And the salad had seen better days, with brown ends and smashed... More

Had a lovely, informal meal at Mitch's. Lots of choice, fast service, realistic prices and a great harbour-side location.

We were looking for a seafood dinner on our last night in San Diego. This place was a gem! We tried the Fishermans Stew and crab cake appetizer. It was really delicious. Cool rustic atmosphere as well.

This nieghborhood favorite on the San Diego Bay has turned into a very busy place to go for views of the sport fishing boats as well as super fresh seafood. The lunchtime crowd stretched out the door to the wrap around deck with bar type seating (and fantastic views) so time your visit. While waiting to place your order you... More

Loved eating on the dock in this casual seafood restaurant. Great value. You get a lot of food and a look at the fishing fleet. Do not get dressed up and you order at the counter. It is hard to find the door, but worth the effort.

Mitch's is on the waterfront for very casual dining. The swordfish, shrimp and opah corn tacos were fantastic. Opah civiche and calamari were also excellent. A great selection of local brewery specials tops off a great lunch. Friendly, attentive staff makes for a fun stop

Went to San Diego to visit a relative. Agreed we had to eat grilled fresh Pacific fish without paying a fortune. Mitch's fit our criteria exactly. The place is small, on the water and very rustic. The catches of the day are listed along with their sources, such as Pacific and Hawaii. There is also a larger, extensive menu with... More

This place was recommended by our Captain at Sailing San Diego. My wife and I ate here after our sailing whale watching trip. Outstanding place, very laid back with the best clam chowder in San Diego and the freshest seafood we had. We ordered at the counter, found a seat outside overlooking the marina, and enjoyed our chowder and a... More
