We went here to celebrate our daughters Birthday. Wait time was to be expected on a Friday night, about 45 mins. There is a game room with both ticket games and arcade games. I did notice the employees in the game room and cleaning the...restroom were not friendly at all but the wait staff and hosts were very pleasent!! There are themed rooms throughout the restaurant, it was packed so I couldn't check them out in detail. We were seated in the groovy room. Black lightening and fluorescent colors, kids loved it! Our waiter was amazing!! A gentleman who was very outgoing and played the character well! Menu has a good variety but quality of food was just ok. Wait staff will sing and dance along with 50's music. Bring cash as there is a balloon artist to make ballon characters/items for the kids, who walks table to table.More

We stopped for dinner as we were told this was a 'must do' when we were in San Diego for a few days. We were not disappointed! The staff celebrated my aunt's 91st birthday (which she loved and we appreciated). A great time and great...food as well.More

Not sure how it has such a high rating. This was a very LOUD, over priced family friendly restaurant. The chili was straight out of a can and the rest of the food not good at all. The pictures I posted are actually what we...didn’t (couldn’t) eat, it was that inedible. The roast beef was dry and rubbery, the mashed potatoes tasted like an army MRE. The service, though friendly, was very slow. And did I mention LOUD? The music was so loud I honestly could not hear across the table which also made it even louder due to everyone around raising their voices to be heard. Definitely not a pleasing experience. I can see how kids would enjoy it, arcade room and random dancing around with large plates of cotton candy to be purchased but for a dining experience..... This. Was. A. Bust. We left hungry and with headaches.More

We were tired after a long day at the zoo and couldn't decide where to go. I remembered seeing a review about this place and thought maybe we should go there. We arrived on a Thursday night about 7:00 and had a short wait. Not...because the place was packed but because they did not seem to have enough staff on duty. We were seated in the area between the corvette and the soda fountain across from the DJ. We waited 10 minutes before a waitress came by to take our order, we were on the verge of leaving. She took our drink order and since we had been sitting there for quite a while she also took our food order. We both ordered a Dee Dee hamburger, me with fries and my husband with a salad. Our burgers were just regular burgers, nothing to brag about. The fries were good. My husband was given a refill on his tea but I did not receive one on my root beer. The music was loud but songs we enjoyed listening to. There were a number of birthday parties. I can see why this place is popular. Had we not been so tired we might have enjoyed it more.More

Amazing fun place with quirky retro decor and a really fun happy vibe .. we went twice .. once in the morning just as they opened and were seated near the icecream/ soda station and second time for dinner and were seated in the black...light area where there seemed to be several tables enjoying birthday dinners ..both times it was a really different and enjoyable experience .. We even happened to be served by Millie both the times, who was superb and gave great recommendations as we were vegetarians. The waitstaff is super friendly and enthusiastic and the food especially the shakes are delicious. We loved loved loved everything from the food, the decor, the retro music in morning to the DJ in the evening. Will have great memories of this place !!!More

We had a few hours before catching a flight, so we googled a restaurant on our way there. Corvette Diner came up and I couldn't resist (being a corvette lover). What a great place! It's a 50's theme diner feel...with awesome food and service! We...were celebrating our birthdays, and they made sure to celebrate and give us treats. Highly recommend!More

Lots of free parking make this place easy to visit; with a huge list of burger choices and malts. The waitress was really friendly and we all left satisfied, and planning our next visit.

What a fun place to go! The servers are energetic, fun and talented. It is a true experience from the minute you walk in. The energy is out of this world, with servers all being outgoing and working to make your experience fun. The decor...is great, the music so much fun and each server and person working there working hard to make sure you are having fun! We went there two times in our week in San Diego (our grandson wanted to go every night!) and had a great time. The food is great and the milkshakes are amazing (forget your diet and have one- the S'mores one looked outrageous, but we stuck to chocolate ones.) The desserts looked good but we were too stuff after dinner and shakes! We sat near the ice cream counter and those people working there didn't stop all night making shakes, banana splits and more. Oh, if you have a birthday, they sing to you and will serve a foot high cotton candy type cake with blinking lights. Plus they will do your hair and put sticks coming out of the hair do they create. Did I say fun? Yes, good fun and good food and amazing service (PLUS an arcade too!!) You gotta go to the Corvette Diner!!More

We had a birthday, two departing college kids, one granddaughter from out of town, and the rest of us all as family together. Our college kiddos hailed Corvette Diner as the place they wanted to go... so we all cheered and piled into cars. Root...beer floats, all flavors of shakes, every type of hamburger and delicious sweet potato fries, tater tots, and waffle fries! This is not for the faint of heart. I generally split a sandwich with someone and split a root beer float. I can actually walk out that way and not feel overly stuffed. They also have kid-sized shakes (tip: adults can order them also!) Plenty of free parking in the lot out back. Right next to the big Public Market so you can go for a wonderful walk afterwards to walk off those extra tots!! There are many different rooms, a Groovy Room which has black light tables and posters from the 70’s/80’s; a room with old movies playing.... how many times can I see the plane swooping down in North by Northwest?! There’s a live DJ taking requests and the servers break out into coordinated dances every once in a while.... all so much fun. Don’t forget the wandering balloon person who makes balloon creatures to order, and be sure that someone at your table orders a hot dog.... just do it and see what happens!! Enjoy!!More

Our vacation is almost over and needless to say, we were bumming today. We had a restaurant in the area all picked out when we walked by yours. The music drew us in and we are so glad it did! The whole experience—waitstaff, music, environment,...and food made us smile! If we lived closer, I am certain this would be a “usual” for us. Maybe you could open one in the Twin Cities area?! 😄More

Hi Marco. We love your pets but due to a few different reasons we only allow service animals at the Corvette Diner. If your best friend is a service dog then by all means we hope to see you soon. The Corvette Diner Team
