It's a great place to have a drink and enjoy the view but if you are looking for a delicious dinner this is not the place. Nice view of the landing. Pleasant servers. Don't order the fried calamari.

After having a crappy weekend at our hotel and disappointing meals in their restaurant...(not to be indiscreet...ok, the disappointing restaurant int he hotel was Vessel) we had such a disappointing time we remember my sister in law and brother in law said this was their favorite. Very nice manager seated us immediately. We ate outside and you are looking at... More

We are only in San Diego for five days and hoped for a pleasant meal out at The Red Sails inn on Shelter Island. God, it was dire. Why does a restaurant on the marina in Shelter Island have to serve frozen fish? Frozen potato chips accompanied the frozen fish! It was a disgrace to San Diego to be honest.... More

2 to 6 is Happy Hour... The Tito's Martinis ( Gluten Free ) extra dry ---shaken VIOLENTLY with a lemon twist is the way to go ...A great pour for only $ 5.00... The Calamari and the crab stuffed mushrooms are a must...Sat outside next to the water and enjoyed the start of Happy Hour....

I though we had calibrated our expectations properly, apparently not. Frozen shrimp? At a seaside restaurant?? "Macadamia-crusted halibut" that was as close to tasteless as I think you could get. The waitress was pleasant enough, but came to the table only twice - once to take our order and once to bring food/drinks - without having to be summoned. Nice... More

The restaurant was a little shabby, which was fine. Prices are moderate. My husband had a cod sandwich that looked great but I had the fish and eggs. The fish was sole, which should have been fine but it was fried instead of grilled, as advertised, and it was gushy, as if it had been frozen too long. Iffy choice.

great place to unwind and have cocktails and well-portioned food. This last trip we only had breakfast there-it was really good, with enough to take back for another meal.

For years my family and I have gone here and the last time it evident that what use to be some of the best food had taken a turn. I revisited it on Saturday night and I should have turned around when at 6 pm the dining area was almost empty. The waitress Lori was nice enough and really tried... More

We were in San Diego for 6 days. This was our favorite place we ate the whole trip. Enjoyed it more than 2 other places that cost over 2x as much. Between my wife and I we had crab cakes salad salmon and a reuban. All were DELICIOUS. Dined outside, nice view and atmosphere. Staff were all great.

Thank maa39
