Very good tacos, fast, friendly service. Ample servings in the combination platters we ordered. Good sides too.

In town for a few days. We came all the way from Ontario, Ca for this classic favorite. When any of my friends say they are coming to S.D., I always urge them to come here. LOVE their food!! Great friendly service!

Well, a few friends and I gave it another shot hoping to have the great experience others have had. Service is polite and professional but none of us could say our food was more than just "okay." Pretty bland in general (even the enchilada sauce lacked a depth of flavor) and the refried beans were unfortunately under cooked. Not the... More

Every time I fly to San Diego, I stop at El Indio. Great taquitos! Love the guacamole and chips. Very reasonable prices.

This restaurant seems to be a San Diego tradition. It must have been great once, perhaps when Mexican food seemed exotic. The reality, and I've tried it a few times, is pretty poor. The sauces tasteless, salsas often flavorless and texture less. I've had both breakfast (greasy and generally nasty) and dinner (over cooked), each left me wishing I'd eaten... More

I'm from Houston so I know good Mexican food. This place is great. The warm butter tortilla while you wait for order is really good. They have an outside eating area that I enjoyed since the weather is so nice. The carne asada taco was huge and delicious.

This place has been serving awesome Mexican food since 1940. Very convenient to San Diego International airport. Worth a stop on your visit to America's Finest City. Deplane and have a bite here before heading to the beaches. Outdoor seating available. The tamales are the bombdiggety.

This is a long time San Diego Mexican restaurant. It is exactly the food I wanted. It is good for lunch or dinner. It is filling, so be careful what you order for lunch. They make their own chips, that have paprika and lime juice on them. They are so good. I have the enchilada plate and I am missing... More

We came into this place by mistake and only discovered it was "iconic" afterwards. Basically if you want really really low cost and simple mexican grub in a cheap and cheerful setting then this is the place for you. I thought the food was ok but I would not call it memorable - however eating here is very easy on... More
