I was solo and sat outside on a wonderful San Diego evening. I opened with a delicious platter that was enough for 3 people. The steak was well-aged, a flavorful cut and piping hot. I had a loaded baked potato that was double the size...of a large restaurant spud. The load was presented on the side so I could add at my preference. The service was attentive, they were happy to see me solo (many restaurants aren't thrilled) and it was nice to sit streetside and watch the world go by. It is expensive but well-worth it for a top experience evening.More

We went with two friends to dine at Greystone restaurant. We were greeted with a warm welcome by Sara, the restaurant director, as if we were loyal customers for years, even though it was our first time there. At first sight, the room may look...huge over those two floors. After being sat at one of the tables, you’ll feel the real charm and intimacy of the restaurant. If you like cocktails, you are in the right place. Each of us tried a different one, all original, tasty and delicious. 🤩 A real ballet ensued. The waiters always attentive, anticipated all our needs and acting discreetly. Being a Steakhouse, we will, of course, advise you to choose among the “meaty” selection. From the truffle steak tartare as a starter to the Australian Wagyu as an entrée, all our dishes were tasteful and savory. The perfect place for meat-eaters! If like us you are a huge fan of truffle, take the “truffle mac & cheese” as a side to go with any of your entrées! 😋 We will come back for sure!More

Greystone Prime Steakhouse & Seafood has my sincere appreciation for exhibiting all the qualities of a top steakhouse. From the initial moment I made my reservation, Sara was very attentive and accommodating. I am very particular with the places where I dine. The Japanese Wagyu,...Applewood Smoked Chinook Salmon, Calamari and Lobster Mac were all sensational! It is evident; Sara and the entire Greystone staff are all extremely passionate about preserving Greystones uniqueness. The service was impeccable. It is no surprise why Greystone has been considered one of the best restaurants in San Diego for decades. I highly recommend Greystone Prime Steakhouse & Seafood for anyone that wants an unforgettable dining experience.More

My husband and I were so excited to try this place out for a late valentines day dinner with friends. My husband and friends are active military so it was special to have this time together. We got seated immediately which was great and the...place was beautiful. Once we got our food my fiancé noticed there was a small hair in his steak so he politely let the wait staff know. From then we were treated rudely and so disrespectfully. We all felt so uncomfortable for something that was not our fault. It took a while to get a new steak which was fine. But then the waiter proceeded to scrape our table and made a statement that there were "a lot of hairs" on the table from my side of the table. The snarky comment made it clear that he was suggesting I purposely put hair in his food for no reason. At the end of our dinner he kindly brought a piece of cake where he proceeds to make a statement about our age which is why he never brought out any drinks. We were all clearly of age. After this incident My husband and I will NOT be coming back and have referred other friends to also stay away from this place. I'm deeply disappointed in our service and the way we are treated, especially coming from such a high class place. Hopefully no one else receives this treatment.More

So you already know it’s not an inexpensive place to eat, but the service in our visit was less than stellar. My wife and I stopped in around 7:00 for dinner, and were seated promptly. Waited about 15 minutes for any acknowledgement, then a rushed...waiter came over and asked if we were ready to order. I inquired about any specials, he told us and then came back in a couple minutes. That was the last we saw him until right before our food was going to come out, he explained that his shift was over and a new person would be taking over, really right in the middle of dinner service? Salads we delivered, by a back waiter and then another person brought our entrees, but no new utensils. I got up and took some from another table and then a fourth person came over to check and see how we were doing after we finished. Ughhh. For a $170 plus dinner I expected service to match.More

I wanted to take my daughter out for steak on Valentine’s, so I made a reservation for Greystone several days ago. They made me give my credit card and I agreed to a $30 fee if I did not show up. Okay, fine. The reservation...was for 6pm. We arrived at 5:58pm and there was a line of about 50-60 people to get in. I soon found out that every single person in line had reservations. A hostess told me that Greystone had screwed up the reservation system for tonight and severely overbooked. We did not want to wait that long because it was cold outside, so I asked for the $30 to be released from my credit card; however, they absolutely refused to do so. I was told that unless I waited and ate there, then I would lose my $30. This is simply ridiculous. Why in the world should we be penalized simply because Greystone doesn’t know how to properly handle reservations?? We ended up waiting AN HOUR just to get in. (When we left, the line to get in was at least 75-80 people. We felt sorry for them.) On top of the long wait, the service inside was very slow, which I understand because of the large crowd. But our steak was undercooked and we were too aggravated at that point to send them back. The whole night was just a wreck. I will never go back under any circumstances.More

Our family of 12 had a celebratory dinner at the Greystone for m son in-laws Boot Camp Graduation. The staff was absolutely amazing and accommodating to our large group. The waitstaff were all very kind and engaging with conversation with everyone at our table. We...were seated in the upper level next to the wine racks. Every time they would come for a bottle of wine, they would be sure to give attention to our 2 year old granddaughter, as she was extremely curious as to what they were doing. The food all came rather quickly for such a large group and was amazing. I am a huge fan of St. Elmo's in downtown Indy and this compared to it in every way. The ladies of the group enjoyed many of the Greystone martinis, which was by far the best martini I have ever had. I cannot recommend the Greystone enough for the amazing food, amazing staff and the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant.More

We were a big group treated by our supplier for dinner. We felt rather disgusted by the waiter who tried to upsell their food, asking us to order 16 oz speciality steaks with lobster tail, knowing that we won't be able to finish the food....Then asking us to order a salad too as the main dishes would take a while to come. We just didn't enjoy the experience and the food wasn't great either.More
