I've loved Benihana since I was a child, and had a craving for a good Teppanyaki dinner while in San Diego. We had reservations - which I highly recommend - and still had to wait a little bit for our 5:00 reservation. The hostesses were not friendly, and seemed more interested in talking amongst themselves than greeting the guests. Once... More

If you're there for lunch and not eating at the hibachi table, I recommend the lunch boat! Very delicious!

I went there my first night since it was an early night and had extra time. I had there rainbow roll and a salad. They were very good. The sushi tasted fresh and I enjoyed it very much. I also had a free dessert compliments of the hotel.

The food was okay, i ordered the salmon and once i got to the middle it was uncooked and too late to ask to put back on the grill. Other then that it was an okay experience

It's our third time visitting this japanese restaurant, everything was great, the entrees, the drinks, the food, the show that's presented in the teppanyaki area, woww we loved it, but the service a little bit slow. The only thing that I can really complain was that they had no toilett paper in the ladies bathroom for a while eventhough they... More

We have a Benihana close to our house and we never eat there. Instead we wait until we visit San Diego! This place is a lot of fun and a special treat for us. We love to order Rocky's Special and to share a punch bowl drink (they call them different names but it is big and blue and delicious).

We always go to Benihana for a birthday and the food never disappoints. If you go during lunch the prices are a little less but still you get to see a show and eat amazing food. The last time we went our chef, Manny, was so good! His tricks were on point and he was very funny and very interactive.... More

Went on a Tuesday evening. The hibachi tables were all reserved so we got Hibachi meals at a table (they prepare it in the kitchen and bring it to you). I was informed that Benihana does not have yum yum sauce. Then the shrimp came and it was very very dry. It tasted ok but it was very dry. I... More

Super fun watching the Chef do her stuff! Food was better than I remembered from the past. We had a great time for my granddaughters birthday.

The joy of the entertainment, talent, humor, group fun, quantity, quality and level of service was missing. After decades of enjoying this favorite dining experience the love is gone...
