Do not order the expensive goat dish: it's eighty percent fat, gristle and bone. Spices are okay for other food. Rickety chairs and no table cloths. Dangerous parking lot with a few resident mentally ill homeless.

Wow, this place and it’s sister locations never disappoint. Seriously delicious Indian food, I love the veggie curry and all of the chicken dishes (butter chicken!) are awesome. My husband tries something new every time we eat here and is always pleased. The Naan bread...is the best I’ve every had - try the one with crushed cherries, almonds and fennel, although all is good, even the plain one. The Midway location is in a crummy strip center and the restaurant needs a little refreshing (I’d call it a bit of a dive), but don’t leave, you will love the food. We go here often, we literally crave it!More

The interior of this small restaurant is pretty unimpressive and we weren't sure what we were in for when we arrived. The service was a bit haphazard but the food was very good. We like Indian food but don't really know it that well. We...had a chicken dish and a lamb dish and the server was helpful in being sure the sauces were different. Both were delicious. The meat was tender though the pieces could have been cut smaller. The sauces were excellent with just enough kick for those who like a bit of heat but don't want to be on fire. Than Naan bread was very good and the cold beer was a perfect accompaniment.More

We have been to this unassuming restaurant several times before, and always enjoyed our meals. The restaurant is in a small strip mall along the busy Midway Drive. There was plenty of parking when we were there. The service was excellent. The young waiter went...above and beyond, and we enjoyed talking to him. We are plantbased (vegan/vegetarian, resp.) and seek out ethnic restaurants because they often have great meatless dishes. Taste of the Himalayas did not disappoint. Although many items on their Indian/Nepalese/Tibetan menu have chicken, lamb or seafood, there were plenty of dishes that were vegetarian or vegan. We started with a complimentary cup of dal (yellow split pea soup), which was simple but very flavorful. The vegetable samosas were nicely seasoned with a very good tamarind chutney. We ordered a saag aloo (potato and spinach) and a vegetable biryani (rice dish), and both of the dishes were very tasty. Their heat index is definitely Indian heat level from 1-10. If your tastebuds are not used to spicy, order a 1. The biryani cannot be heat-adjusted and comes as a 3-4. I had to add white rice to the biryani to mix it up and make it less spicy. We also had roti without butter. I'm sure we will be back soon.More

Enchanting atmosphere, delicious food. (Loved the momos, made me feel like I was in Tibet again), excellent service. Loved that we could select flavors from 3 parts of the world at one restaurant and they did it so well. Easy parking. Quaint. So many selections...of Naan.More

Both dishes were outstanding in flavor. The Malai Kofta was the best by far, very delicate sauces. Nice small location with easy parking off street in strip mall.

The service took very long to get our food, which wasn't very good. I would not recommend coming here.

As the title of this review says - don't judge the book by its cover. We decided to check out this little place based on the reviews we read. The restaurant it self can surprise you or give you second thoughts based on the decor,...however the food and the pleasant service makes you overlook the look of the restaurant. We ordered chicken Momos, shrimp curry and chicken biryani. All 3 items were point. We have been to several Nepalese restaurants and the Momos here were on point. The food came out fairly quick and the prices compared to most Indian restaurant were standard. Great little find!More
