Damn good sandwich. Ridiculously priced cocktails.

We've gotten spoiled at relatively good restaurants available at airports we pass through frequently- D/FW, Denver, Dallas Love. Offerings at San Diego's outdated and cramped terminals are a joke in comparison. We'll never make the mistake of not eating before we catch a flight out of San Diego... read more

I have been to Bankers Hills Bar and Restaurant a handful of times and although the food is great, the service lacks a lot of detail which surprises me because I honestly believe they must have great management. I have been there for dinner before to witness certain carelessness from the service staff mostly but I did not want to... More

We've gotten spoiled at relatively good restaurants available at airports we pass through frequently- D/FW, Denver, Dallas Love. Offerings at San Diego's outdated and cramped terminals are a joke in comparison. We'll never make the mistake of not eating before we catch a flight out of San Diego again! Had a late Monday night dinner, and yet the restaurant was still fairly busy - that alone speaks to the high quality of food and drink. The craft cocktails are very good, and the food is exceptional! There were two of us and we shared several items; didn't order anything from the dinner menu. We had: Butternut Squash Soup (outstanding),... More

I grabbed breakfast here on my way out of San Diego. Keeping in mind that the SD Airport is one of the least accommodating major airports that I have ever used, so seating is at a premium no matter where you go. Bankers Hill is the only "sit down" restaurant/bar on the secure side of the TSA Security checkpoint. I... More

A friend chose this place for her birthday celebration and I'm so glad she did. The food was fabulous. We arrived while it was still happy hour and thus chose a few items from the happy hour menu to share: the roasted beet & citrus salad with goat cheese crostini and bowl of truffled French fries. A great start! One... More

My sister had a recommendation to go to Bankers Hill Restaurant to try their Butterscotch Pudding Dessert. We ordered this and the Chocolate Cake with Mint Icecream, the Butterscotch Dessert was AMAZING! It had shortbread like cookies with it and it had a smooth taste that was not overly sweet. The Chocolate cake was very good as well, it was... More

I love hamburgers and try them wherever I go. This is the best I know of in San Diego. Meat is custom ground with combination of Meat. The fixing are amazing and with the added truffle fries addictive. I always have it with their mixed vegetable salad which has slightly cooked fresh veggies...yummy

Went here with my daughter, her huz and my two HS age grandkids on a Friday evening -- with a reservation. Table was ready, but just walking into the place was an assault on my ears. It's really an up-scale comfort-food bar with TV's, not a restaurant. However the food was very good, satisfying all ages. I had a chipotle... More

This is a super restaurant for plain, fancy, relaxed dining. Great ambiance feels so California with part of the restaurant glassed but outside, decor of wool and metal and very cool. Although we are waiting for friends, service at the table is attentive and we start with drinks. The special spicy pear cocktail begins things perfectly . Our friends arrive... More

We were visiting and found this place on Google. We were looking for affordability and this place had only 2 dollar signs, but did find this restaurant to be a "white tablecloth" place without the tablecloth to tip you off. They were pushing the prix fixe menu for restaurant week ($30 for 3 courses, $40 with drinks) and we only... More
