We were in town for our first ever ComicCon and were not familiar with the area. Our front desk said this was the best in OB, so we gave it a try. We were still in shorts and board shorts but they said we were fine. Unfortunately I don't recall the our server's name, but he was very friendly and... More

Very difficult to describe these dishes as they are so complex and varied. The brussel sprouts are a must have! The portions are so generous, makes it worth the slightly higher prices at this establishment. We had a flat bread that consisted of beets, curry sauce, assorted cheeses, jalapeno, and feta cheese that lasted lasted us for three days as... More

Never knew about this place until we wound up in Ocean Beach one day. It was great. Tthe beef Burgundy was to die for. Very rich deep dark broth with very tasty tender beef and just the right texture to the carrots and mushrooms. The mussels were tremendous also the steak tartare was very good. Our only complaint was the... More

Fabulous French dining in Ocean Beach? Who Knew!! We were not expecting to find escargots and lobster bisque that were out of this world in Ocean Beach, but there on the corner in this quirky building sits Bo beau beckoning francophiles and gourmands everywhere! We had 2 kids under 7 with us and they adored the french bread, atmosphere, and... More

A small in intimate French bistro with an extensive wine list, this gem is worth the drive to Ocean Beach. Dark, wood beams and strange light fixtures provide a very rustic atmosphere. If you like France, this is a good substitute. We started with a small order of the famous Crispy Brussel Sprouts (yes, they live up to the hype!)... More

I've eaten here several times. The food is good and the staff is personable. The outdoor seating is a bit uncomfortable, what with the hard wooden benches. But my real issue is that the menu has become too predictable and needs an update or makeover. Like their signature appetizer, the roasted brussels sprouts -- good, but how about something new?... We've been to Bo-beau about 5 times, and we really love it. The reservation system can be a little annoying, but if you're flexible and willing to wait 10-20 minutes, it should be fine. We called on a Friday at 6:30. We were told that there were spots available then, but since we weren't ready, we put our name down... More

We were there for a dinner on Mothers Day, and it was not unusual to find a restaurant with high acclaim, to be busy. However, we were almost defeated in our objective of eating there due to a strange system of reservations. We were told that we could call an hour ahead of our arrival, put our names on waiting... What a unique selection of goodies to choose from. The escargot , Brussels sprouts and salmon entree were all exceptional! A great place to celebrate an event and they do reservations thru open table, very convenient!
