The Sashimi was excellent. Try the chef's choice. Beautiful presentation. Very fresh fish and crustaceans. Nice sake selection. Like most such I places, I like to sit at the bar and talk with the masters as they work.

One of the good finds in San Diego which is away from The Gaslamp. Everything was A1 except the wasabi which was initially offered the "usual way" i.e. horseradish blend. When I objected and asked for the real thing they charged me (which was OK) but even then the wasabi offered was not "pure". The O-Toro was fresh and fatty.... More

Yep. I thought it was a step above supermarket sushi. The menu was unexciting and limited. We started with oysters and they were good. The waitress suggested the sunshine roll and the crabmeat tasted like it was canned. The adventurous sashimi platter, which was presented nicely, was tasty but skimpy for the price. Finally, the tuna roll and spicy tuna... More

My wife and I had a late dinner here. She had the rainbow roll and an eel hand roll. Both were excellent. I don't eat fish, so I had the JFC (fried chicken) which was AMAZING and the pork gyoza (very good). Really nice place, was recommended to us by several people. A bit out of the way, but worth... This place is located at a pretty good location downtown where it isn't extremely crowded and supplies ample parking. However, the restaurant itself was a bit crowded since it was a small place and it appeared that it was a popular spot amongst locals. The food itself is great however the portions are a bit small and the price is... More

Tried the sushi, sashimi and yellow tail. All of it was very fresh and delicious. Finished the meal with a sampler. Very good service. Highly recommend it.

I went there with a couple of my colleagues last week. It was about 6:30 pm and place was packed. I was so glad we had a reservation. The food & service was really good and friendly.

My husband and I got an online reservation same day (it was a weeknight), and noted in the reservation that we preferred to sit at the bar. We were seated at the bar, and our chef was fantastic! He asked what we liked, provided recommendations, and made us off the menu combinations that melted in your mouth! The nigiri sushi... More

Great food and awesome selections of sake specially the Daiginjo. Presentation and freshness is at the very top. Price is on the mid to high but well worth. Very busy with many patrons even for a Wednesday night.
