Not impressive when you walk in but make a reservation on the second floor and it will surprise you. Music a little loud sometimes which hinders conversation. The sashimi and sushi rolls are all good. Best one is the Kobe beef roll, save that one for last!! Good service. Street parking only. Make a reservation!!

I made a reservation and when I arrived I had to wait 30 minutes outside in the cold for a table. This is the first time this ever happened to me at a restaurant (30 minute wait with a reservation) so there are no excuses for this. On top of this, the waitress was pretty bad and did not check... Amazing sashimi and rolls, if you are in San Diego, go to Azuki sushi! We all had the miso with tofu ( A's favourite), A had mix tempura, and California roll, Gil the chicken teriyaki and gyoza, I had adventurous sashimi, the green roll and the R U kidding me. We all tried each others, simply fantastic!

Friendly and accommodating personnel, eat inside, outside, on a terrace in the backyard - or take away. Nice choice of fancy rolls, as well as (sushi loving) kids friendly classic menu.

The Sashimi was excellent. Try the chef's choice. Beautiful presentation. Very fresh fish and crustaceans. Nice sake selection. Like most such I places, I like to sit at the bar and talk with the masters as they work.

One of the good finds in San Diego which is away from The Gaslamp. Everything was A1 except the wasabi which was initially offered the "usual way" i.e. horseradish blend. When I objected and asked for the real thing they charged me (which was OK) but even then the wasabi offered was not "pure". The O-Toro was fresh and fatty.... More

Yep. I thought it was a step above supermarket sushi. The menu was unexciting and limited. We started with oysters and they were good. The waitress suggested the sunshine roll and the crabmeat tasted like it was canned. The adventurous sashimi platter, which was presented nicely, was tasty but skimpy for the price. Finally, the tuna roll and spicy tuna... More

My wife and I had a late dinner here. She had the rainbow roll and an eel hand roll. Both were excellent. I don't eat fish, so I had the JFC (fried chicken) which was AMAZING and the pork gyoza (very good). Really nice place, was recommended to us by several people. A bit out of the way, but worth... This place is located at a pretty good location downtown where it isn't extremely crowded and supplies ample parking. However, the restaurant itself was a bit crowded since it was a small place and it appeared that it was a popular spot amongst locals. The food itself is great however the portions are a bit small and the price is... More
