We were staying at a nearby hotel and decided to walk down the street to this restaurant as there was an approaching major storm. Enjoyed a fabulous happy hour with coconut shrimp, spring rolls, ribs and local beers. Extremely friendly bar staff and enjoyed talking to local patrons. Just ate and drank ourselves through a huge storm and then walked... More

A beautiful Polynesian-style restaurant. We went for appetizers and cocktails. Beautifully detailed surroundings...live music, the appys were delicious and the mai-tais were...exceptional!

Had dinner there for business. Old School Classy place. Service staff was VERY professional and you could tell they had been doing it for years. The food was great! We had the Ali’i Tasting For Two as a starter, then 4 of us had various dishes. All were very happy with the meal and service. The Poké was very tasty.

The view is amazing for a romantic night out, it has a great atmosphere but the quality of the food is lacking especially in comparison to the price. Also, there is no excuse for any restaurant in San Diego to use an imported fish for their catch of the day.

It's been years since we visited the Bali Hai so we decided to give it a try for Restaurant Week. We were seated at a window table reminding us what a lovely view there is of San Diego's skyline from this spot. The decor seems the same--clean and simple with huge wooden logs as support structures in the Polynesian style.... More

I had my wedding ceremony and a small luncheon in the Tiki room at Bali Hi. It was very small. The communication leading up to the wedding was great. The day of the wedding no one was there to ensure everything went as planned. Thank god I had a friend filling in as the coordinator. The ceremony was awesome. But... More

We celebrated New Years Eve here. Had a great table overlooking the water and just above the outdoor fire pit. This made an excellent view and ambiance. Our waiter was very good - asked our names and remembered them. We had several appetizers along with dinner. I expected my meal to be smaller so I had a side order of... More

Came here with the family for New Year's days dinner. My wife and I last visited here 3 years ago and it was excellent. My wife & daughter were so excited to come here, and it was not that good this time. I had the Crispy Beef, my daughter had the Korean Chicken, and my wife had the Stuffed Buns.... More
