Just got to try this amazing place! Food was awesome and so many vegan and vegetarian choices! Making your own pancakes was fun and you get to choose your batter, topping, mixes, and syrups! Our table had multiple types so we tried so many. Prices are really good too! Yummy bloody Mary with mango and pickle and tomato, and something else, I forgot there was so many things. Can't wait to go back and try more.

I was there with my family and we all enjoyed making part of our breakfast on the table top pancake griddles. It was fun and kept the kids engaged. The staff was great and the owners came by to see how we liked the placed and were truly interested in our response.

If you order pancakes, they provide a griddle in the middle of the table. You are given the pancake batter in a squirt bottle and there are several types of batter to choose from. You can then make whatever shaped pancakes you like! I imagine this is a lot of fun for kids. We came for their cube French toast which was amazing! We also ordered the already made apple streusel pancakes which were just as amazing. The server was nice and friendly as was the manager, who greeted us at the door when we entered. If I lived in San Diego, I’d come here often.

Very pretentious and ill mannered staff. Food was crap and I would never go back, ever. Ordered the eggs Benedict and it did not taste at all right as they use all wrong ingredients. Total crap.

Mix of awesome Mexican and American breakfast fare. My favorite is the Mediterranean avocado toast. My family likes to leave the make-you own pancakes to the end as a breakfast-desert treat. The banana bread batter is delicious.

A unique concept and a ton of fun. Everyone knows how to make a pancake and they supply the batter. We went early but by the time we left there was a line. Very popular. Cinnamon Role was delicious. Highly Recommended

Let me tell you something: If you are visiting San Diego, especially with kids, to my opinion, this place is a MUST! What a unique and excellent idea of making pancakes. The concept is outstanding. Imagine "Gyu-Kaku", just with pancakes in different colors, that adult and kids can create themselves , in different shapes, and eat them. It is an amazing experience for kids. We LOVED it! They are serving breakfast, which was very good too.
I do believe that most of the people that are coming here, are coming because of the unique experience with the pancakes .
The waiting can be a little long in the weekend, and the parking is a challenge.

Making our own pancakes was a blast! The banana bread dough and subsequent pancakes were incredible. The prepared food was terrific as well. Very hard decision on what to order. Gorgeous restaurant and great service. What a great new addition for breakfast, brunch and lunch!

We came on a Thursday morning at 8:30am and it was completely empty. Each table had a griddle in the middle of the table and a range hood above. Reminds me of a Korean bbq place.
The advantage of going early is not having to deal with parking and the crowd. Also, you’re the first to use the griddle, meaning your pancakes will not stick.
The griddles are non stick but if you get just a little of the wet batter or any of the toppings like melted chocolate, it ruins the ability to be non stick and becomes messy.
You get to choose your batter, mix it, and toppings.
We got: Oreo batter, banana slices, whipped mascarpone spread.
Red velvet, chocolate chips, whipped cream
Also got a savory dish of peppa Benedict and corn beef hash. I would skip the savory dishes and stick to pancakes. I didn’t eat the English muffin on the Benedict. The corn beef hash wasn’t so salty so that was good. The texture was soft while others might like it crispy.
For pancakes, we chose to make mini versions so a bottle gave us like 10 mini pancakes. We were not creative and just stuck with round pancakes.
The combo that we got were perfect. For chocolate chips, you should mix it in the batter on the griddle.
This is a great concept if you have kids. Otherwise, as an adult, I would not come back to cook my own meal. The food quality wasn’t that great either. There are way better breakfast options in this neighborhood.

We had The Cube, Apple Pancakes, and waffles and they were all excellent. Do not miss out on The Cube - I have never tasted anything close to this in my entire life.

Take advantage of the waitlist feature via the Yelp app, if you can. It's such a handy plus, and I wish all restaurants offered this option. When I joined the waitlist, we were 22nd in line, with a wait time of almost 60 minutes. We were given a recommended check-in window, then the app alerted me to the fact that the list was moving quicker than anticipated, so we knew to head out earlier than planned.
I liked the restaurant's space - open and bright, with a fun and funky vibe (lots of pink and purple spatulas hanging from ceilings, decorating the walls, etc.) Our waiter was friendly and attentive, even with the large group that was seated shortly after us.
I'm not a fan of pancakes, and the idea of paying to cook my own pancakes did not appeal to me, so I decided to try the Wilbur Benedict (cheese biscuits with sautéed spinach, poached eggs, crispy pork belly pieces and a spicy hollandaise sauce, served with a side of breakfast potatoes). My husband ordered the Peanut Butter pancakes (served with strawberries and a whipped cream, topped with peanut butter chips). We also had coffee to start.
The food was delivered quickly and piping hot. I dug into the potatoes first - hot and crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. They were topped with dried rosemary, which added an earthy flavor. The Benedict eggs were perfectly poached, and the hollandaise sauce had a surprising spicy flavor. The thing about this dish, though, was that the pork belly was a bit too much. Too rich, too fatty, too crunchy in places. I was only able to get through about 1/3 of the potatoes and one of the bennies, which surprised the hubs.
My husband powered down the pancakes, even though he admitted the plate was a lot sweeter than he'd anticipated. He said the strawberries lent a PB&J vibe to the dish, and that the pancakes were thick and fluffy, and took up a lot of space in his gut, haha.
Overall, we did enjoy our meals, though we'd both try a different meals if we come back. The prices are good for the amount of food you're given, and the coffee was super caffeinated. It's a good family-friendly spot and big enough for groups, too.

I went to the soft opening of this new eatery pre-pandemic on March 3, 2020. Altho I was by myself I opted to try the on-table griddle to make my own pancakes just for the novelty of it. I chose the banana bread batter which came in a squeeze bottle. Additions for me were walnuts, blueberry syrup and whipped cream. I did basic round pancakes and I did appreciate having a hot cake right off the griddle one by one. They were more than filling. I passed on the mimosa I would have liked as I found the $9.50 price high for a single mimosa mid week mid day. Maybe they will get that worked out. As for the pancakes it was $8 for the batter and $2 for each topping so banana-nut pancakes with syrup & whipped cream came to $14 + tax + tip - seems expensive for pancakes. I would recommend the pancake making maybe for a couple of kids to share so they can make shapes and decorate them. There's lots of good options on the menu besides the pancakes. This is a modern fun space owned by 2 brothers. North Park loves breakfast even when it extends to lunch so when the pandemic ends check out this new place.
